After a bad start in San Sebastian in an overpriced tiny room near the centre, we came out here for a 2 night stay. It's on the far side of the bay but the views are great and it's about a 20min walk into the old town (there's also a bus). The room was very spacious with a big bathroom... More

We booked through travelocity and were pleasantly surprised when we went into the room. Big bathroom, windows w/ a view, lots of closet space, a mini fridge & a day bed/couch in the corner perfect for all our bags. The hotel is on a hill above the main cove of San Sebastian and it was about a 8-10 minute walk... More

Not a great experience. We booked through an internet site( not the hotel's) and perhaps that explains why the room was cramped, facing the back and without any air conditioning.A tower fan was in the room which was fairly ineffectual. The lighting was pretty poor. The bathroom looked out into a dingy shaft. No food was available only a vending machine on... More

We spent excellent vacation on Avenida Apartments!!!!!. The room very clean with a very good kitchen, bathroom, etc.....very nice personal from reception and a lot of fun around. We don't need to go too far away because everything was around!!!! Excellent location!!!. We was able to use facilities from Avenida Hotel across the street for gym, swimming pool, bar, shows,... Hotel located on the hills surrounding Donostia San Sebastian with a great view on the bay of the city. +/- 500m from the beach (they say 200m) easy to be reached by foot. At check in the receptionist had almost no knowledge of any foreign language. Afterwards the lady at the desk was much better and very willing to meet... More

Stayed one night. Surprised that in a city so renowned for its food there was no option for food in the hotel ( just the usual €20 breakfast that nobody eats). I don't even think there was a bar!! Room was fine although I hate the way they have two beds stuck together. Outside there was a fresh garden feel... More

Firstly, we (2 mid-20s females) stayed here during our 3 month Europe trip in a combination of hostels and cheaper hotels and did come here after staying in a hostel in Madrid so may have different expectations to other travelers. We chose to stay here as most of the hostels were booked out or imposed a two or three night... More

Hotel up a steep hill, not for the unfit. No food in hotel besides breakfast buffet, which was excellent, only vending machines, take your own kettle and teabags!! No bar or resturant, take a long walk down the hill into town!! The resturant near hotel was closed. The garden and terrace was lovely, superb views over town, unfortunatley not permited... More

Located going up the Igueldo, we found this good hotel. Not modern and not quaint. What it is though is simple and clean, and a good and scenic walk into the centre. Good value. More

My husband and I stayed at the Avenida for 3 nights in September. We ended up there as we were visiting during the film festival and more centrally located hotels were full. Hotels in San Sebastian are very expensive and we were paying a rate for the Avenida that would get you a room in a four star hotel in... More
