“Stay away from this pension!!!”

This was by far the worst hotel we stayed at on our trip to Europe. To start with the couple that runs the pension are not friendly.they were very distrustful They were extremely cheap and did not even supply drinking cups in the room. The towels should have been replaced long before our stay and the beds were uncomfortable. One... More

Just off Plaza Zocodover, Pension Castilla is located up a tiny, quiet alley. Expect to speak at least basic Spanish with the reserved, rather than warm, couple who own the pension; they're on duty to open the door for guests until midnight or so. Fine room - we paid EUR54 for a 2 bedroom room with bathroom. Bathroom is ok in terms of space but the shower/bath itself is very cramped. Room is basic and floors are a bit creaky in the house - you can hear everyone else so I recommend earplugs. The owners are a married couple who don't speak english and... More
