I don't like to give bad reviews but here is one of the two that I need to do after a trip to Spain. I think that this hotel is over priced, the rooms are very small and in very poor condition. The TV and air conditioning did not work, the airconditioning was missing some panels, there were was a... More

I've just returned from a three-night stay in Barcelona and chose the Hotel Santa Marta after cancelling a previous booking elsewhere due to reading on Trip Advisor someone had experienced bed bugs! Luckily this hotel didn't have this problem, it was just a little bit tatty. The website said it had been recently refurbished... well, I'd like to know how... More

We had to sit on the bed while the other moved in room. No where to put your suitcases. Floors were not cleaned the 3 days we where stayed. Breakfast available but only 2 rolls and drink. Staff helpful except the bald fellow that didn't want to be asked any questions since he "was busy". Not in the best location... More

The location was great. Very clsoe to the subway and walking distance to the Ramblas/ restuarant strip in Barcelonetta/dockyard. The staff was friendly, free seasonal fruit was offered at the reception. The room was very small but clean. The tv didn't include any channels in English. No wi-fi (even with payment) available in the room. But god value for the... More

Having already traveled through Europe in 7 other countries, I am no stranger to the difference in accomadation standards from America to Europe. That being said, my girlfriends and I, who are all 25, wanted a hotel rather than a hostel, that was reasonably priced. Based on friends who have visited Barcelona before, we decided to focus on hotels only... More

The Good: This hotel is in a great location on a quiet back street next to Estacio de Franca. It's less than a minute to walk to Barceloneta Metro station and is convenient for the City and the sea front. The popular Born area is just across the road (full of cafes and bars and a stones throw from the... More

I have stayed here each Feb for the last 5 years when I attend a conference in Barcelona. You get what you pay for, budget, small but clean rooms with thin walls which do let in noise although I have never been bothered by this. This hotel is about position. The beach spots are 10min walk away and Las Ramblas... More

Location is perfect. Felt like Alice in Wonderland in the small twin room and the very narrow corridors. We were next to the lift which is not perfect. Walls are paper thin and every sound could be heard. Would not wish to stay in high season as the noise would be dreadful. Waitress on the first morning very sour but... More

The title says it all. After arriving with my girlfriend to Barcelona we headed to the hotel (Gallardo group). Here is a brief description of the experience: 1) As we arrived there the manager told us that the floors were being painted, and that we could not stay at that hotel. He was actually saying "don't worry we will find... More
