This was my fifth time staying at this hostal. On the one hand - it's still great: central location, nice rooms. I like the fact that there are keys now and I don't have to ring the bell every time. On the other hand - the staff used to be nicer. The owner, like a reviewer here mentioned, has little... More

The hostal was clean and had a good location. It is walking distance to the three big museums,Atocha train station, Puerta del Sol, nice cafe on the street called Cafe Bar Alma. The rooms are small but I expected that. The shower in room #4 is a nightmare. No matter what, you will get the whole bath soaked. The other... More

This has been our favorite Madrid bolt-hole for several years, but last week we noticed the quality is slipping. The 24-hour "concierge" who attended the door is gone now, replaced by new sets of keys that are very difficult to use. Automated lights in the hallways plunge you into darkness at the worst possible moment. And the toilets, always noisy,... More

We went for a valentinesweekend to Madrid. Romantic trip, eating, drinking, lingering. Stayed in hostal Santa Isabel. Good location, nice B & B in the centre of town as it was recommended bij people from Madrid we know. Stay was great, payed our lodgings with a Visa card. So far so good, arriving home we discovered that our credit card... More

We spent 4 nights at the Hostal Santa Isabel earlier this month. It's very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful (we arrived straight from the airport at 9:30 AM and were allowed to check in a short while later, as soon as a room was ready) and the location is very convenient. My only suggestion would be to request... More

The hostal has a very good location (specially if your coming by train to Atocha station, like from Barcelona for example) and is convieniently located at a short walk from the Reina Sofia Museum as well as a subway station. It is located on the 4th floor of a building, and has lots of shops in front. The value was... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in September. The hostal is walking distance to all the museums, popular plazas, and subway stations. However, I am not sure how safe it is at night as my husband got pickpocketed on our first night. Despite this, the hostal itself was clean, modern, and the staff was friendly though they... More

This is a small hostal, on the 4th floor of a building (ring bell to enter), with an antique but perfectly working lift. Note there are maybe 5 of so steps to reach the lift. The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient, but just be aware they don't speak any English at all, so have your phrasebook handy! We... More

this hotel is very cute: the staff is very kind, the rooms are little but very comfortable, the price per night is excellent. The one thing I really didn't appreciate is that there weren't double beds, but only single beds put together. More

This place is all you need to rest your head. A decent bed, a small, but moderinized bathroom, a flat screen TV with a decent channel selection and really close to all the bars and restaurants in the Huertas / Santa Ana area. No frills, but really clean and comfortable at 50 Euro a night (the cheapest dives in Madrid... More
