Stayed in the Mercure in a standard room for a long weekend at the beginning of June. Very close to Gran Via and city centre. Were impressed by the decent size of the room, which was very clean. Bathroom also a good size. The Mercure seems to be an older hotel which has been re-furbished, but proprietors haven't gone too... More

Centric hotel close to the Royal Palace of Madrid, Gran Via and other touristic attractions. Cooperative staff, although they might improve in providing informationfor tourists. Average Mercure Hotel.

I spent 3 nights in the Mercure on a business trip. I got a corporate rate (negotiated by my client) . I wondered whether that was the reason that I was given a poor room. I am an Accor Platinum member and frankly - corporate rate or not - I expected something better. I had room 601: the bathroom was... More

Madrid was the last stop of an 8-city trip. This hotel was the perfect way to end the trip. Location was great -- very close to many sights, yet quiet neighborhood so no street noise. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The lobby was very well-appointed, comfortable. Staff did everything possible to assist us with directions,... More

I would not recommend this hotel. I had a very cheap online rate and (despite being an Accor Platinum customer) was "punished" with a horrible room - truly horrible. Next to the maid's room with lots of banging, whilst somewhat ironically the room was not clean. The beds were two singles despite asking to move to a double. Not that... More

My friend and I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel - very comfortable and spotlessly clean room with a spacious and clean en-suite bathroom, great location (only 5-10 minutes walk to Gran Via and handy Metro stations, but the hotel itself is situated in a quiet street and the room was extremely quiet at night - very peaceful sleeps... The location of the hotel is great. Within a 5 to 10 minute walk you can get to 3 metro stations. There are also places close by to get a quick bite to eat or shop for some basics. The hotel itself is the basics at a reasonable price. It has some age and kudos to the maintenance crew as... More

Great central location just off Gran Via, close to subway, shops, restaurants. Only a 10 minute walk to the Royal Palace and Calle Mayor (where there a lots of restaurants, shops and things to see). The room was a reasonable size, I liked how the man on reception let me look at two different rooms before deciding which one to... More

Nice hotel. Rooms are good size and clean. The decor is pleasant and well kept up. Breakfast is not included but can be purchased near the lobby. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance. In fact we walked all over Madrid from here and enjoyed the convenience. The Plaza de Espana is quite close and is a nice... More
