The only reason this hotel is still doing well is because of the business people who need to be close to Maria de Molina and Pinar. The hotel staff hardly speak English and can be quite rude. The food is below average and for the price you have to pay at this hotel, you can get eloborate meals at good... More

We stayed there two nights for a short city trip and it was a really nice stay. The hotel is located not too far away from the historical city center, there are subway stations for two different lines near only a 3-5min walk away. WIth the subway you reach the central "Puerta del Sol" in under 10 minutes. In the... More

I was allocated this hotel thru last minute.com's secret hotel deal. Upon finding out the name and reading some reviews I was expecting the worse...... but gladly that wasnt the case. staff on arrival were very helpful, spoke good english to my pigeon spanish. Room was fine.... not my choice of colour decoration but i'm not on holiday to spend... More

We stayed at this Hotel between October 4-7, 2011, and on the last day of our stay my camera equipment was stolen out of the dining room during breakfast. Upon discovering this, I immediately went to the front desk. Instead of getting a -“we are sorry, let us help you search”, they simply handed me the telephone number for the... More

It is starred as 4, but I shall give 3. Located in a business district, the hotel is in the good access to metro and in a short distance to every where. It is not brand new, and here and there you find the worn details, but every thing works well. Clean. Breakfast is good. More

I usually like NH hotels but this one formerly Hesperia and now managed by NH was not a very good choice. Location is ok, close to underground station Gregorio Marañon (line 10) or Ruben Dario (line 5) and some buses. Also, close to Serrano street. However the hotel is far from a 4 stars. It's so classic. Rooms are small... More

We booked this Hotel through lastminute.com as a 'secret hotel' and to be honest I have seen better. Basically it is a bit of a tired hotel; clean, but with rough edges and staff that seem to be quite jaded. Bad points: Timber flooring makes for a cold un-homely feeling and is extremely irritating when someone upstairs starts dragging the... More

Although a bit outdated in the decor, the hotel is well located in the financial district of Madrid, within walking distance of museums, shops and restaurants. I enjoyed their plentiful and fresh breakfast in the morning and the clean and comfortable room. The shower was broken (water leaking from the shower head) and a bit inconvenient (water coming out and... More

The room was reasonably clean and comfortable. However, I got stuck in the bathroom for 15 minutes because of a problem with the bathroom lock. My dad had to open the lock from the outside. The bathroom window was also broken and the there was still paper in the toitlet bowl when we got the room. The breakfast offered a... More

Visited the hotel for a week in August 2010 and we were both delighted by the high standards here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and our lack of Spanish language skills was not a problem at all. The rooms are a good size, and the beds enormously comfortable, though perhaps a little modernising is needed there are no... More
