Useful business hotel, generally good standards. Close to Bernabau for football enthusiasts. No gym at present. Views are of other buildings Food is reasonable but a bit pricey - there is a good takeaway restaurant called Nostrum in the same block which does cheap and cheerful food as an alternative. More

I recently traveled to Madrid on work and stayed at the Abba Castilla Plaza hotel. The hotel is located extremely conveniently, right opposite the Castilla Plaza Metro Station and the bus stop. Very close by, are a McDonald's cafe and a BurgerKing outlet. So location-wise cannot beat this hotel. My room was tiny, probably coz it was single sharing. I... More

Well, the staff, except for the breakfast ladies, is terrible. From the front desk to the waitresses at the restaurant, it seems like they're doing you a favour. They're rude, period. Arrived at the hotel at 11:30 and I was told there were no rooms available till noon, and that is totally fine and standard procedure all around. I go... More

I stayed on business for 2 weeks at the hotel. The rooms are average. However it appears te infrastructure cannot cope with the number of residents. The breakfast was good and plentiful. However due to large coach parties there were not many tables for breakfast and people had to queue to get a table in the morning - Not very... More

I found the Abba Castilla Plaza to be very comfortable, with nice rooms, good A/C, big bathrooms. It is convenient to the Metro. They offer free wifi in the public areas, and also have one terminal for limited free use (10 minutes at a time.) No fitness center. Staff were helpful. Breakfast buffet is good although expensive (as it is... More

We chose this hotel because we had an early train the following morning. It was a good comfortable clean & quiet hotel. Safe area, choce of restaurants nearby, and less than 10 mins walk to get our train. Very good for our purpose. The only disappointment was the free wifi was only available in the foyer / bar area. In order to arrive to Abba hotel from Barajas Airport you take the 8 line of the Metro and change at Colombia station. From there take the metro 9 in direction Herrera Oria and exit at Plazza de Castilla. From there is very easy to find the hotel, just behind one of the 2 towers. The check-in was done easily.... Although the hotel is a bit far from the main tourist sights you can easily reach them by the Metro just outside the hotel, a mere 30 seconds walk. This Metro station, Plaza de Castilla is a main transport hub in Madrid, so access to the city centre is 20 minutes or so, and to the airport is 15/20 minutes... More

First ever visit to the Spanish capital. The Abba Casilla Plaza is located in the business sector not to far from the British Embassy. Its a clean, comfortable hotel but not the cheapest. I found the staff helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean, comfortably and have all amenities you would expect , bath, shower, hair dryer, ironing press,... More
