I stayed at the hotel with my husband on a short break. The staff were all very friendly, happy to give directions to all sights. Breakfast was great. Room was very comfortable but would advise asking for a room at the back of the building. The street to the front is a main road and stayed noisey till 4am! More

We had a layover in Madrid and stayed one night at the Tryp Atocha. It is still a good, clean and safe hotel but ppl should know that they charge an exorbitant amount to make phone calls to the US. I saw the price listed as 15 euros per minute. That is close to 20USD per minute, so beware. We... More

The Tryp Atocha Hotel is a very nice and centralized place to stay in Madrid. We were there during Semana Santa and walked to the Plaza Mayor, Mercado San Miguel, el Palacio Real - todas partes. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room had a small, lovely balcony. As an added (wonderful!) surprise, a procession passed... More

Its ok - clean, friendly, good breakfast, brilliant location But it's not great - terrible Internet and basically useless WIFI, rooms very small and strangely shaped, and it's just a bit old and tired More

... but that would be the main attraction of the hotel. We had a "premium" room with a view into the tiny, inner courtyard, very quiet - most of the time, no problem to find sleep and to sleep long. The room looks much spacier on the hotel's web-site. If you come as tourist, do not pay extra for the... More

We travelled to Madrid in mid-march, three adults in two rooms for four nights. We booked the hotel through priceline, name your own price. We got a decent deal, so overall the value we got was reasonable. Having said that, there were a couple of things we disliked and a few that we liked. The location is quite central. It... More

You can reach everywhere in Madrid and close towns with Atocha Train Station where is near the Tryp Atocha Hotel . By walking about 5 minutes from the hotel. A bad experience was heard from my tour mate who stayed a lower floor of the hotel , suddenly city youngs started to street party , so noisy ! She did... More

This hotel has something that I never found in other hotels, a city hotel with big bedrooms for families. If you have family go this hotel that you never will be put it on a small bedroom. The breakfeast it is ok. The city center its is at 10 minutes walking. More

The hotel has a great location but that's all about it. I arrived in Madrid in from Houston, TX after 12 hours flying and feeling sick. They didnt allow me to get my room at 9 AM, They made me wait in the freezing hotel lobby for 2 hrs, I was half asleep and very weak and nobody checked on... More
