I recently visited Madrid with my girlfriend. We had pre-booked with Chic and Basic and subsequently secured a favourable rate due to the early booking. The hotel we found to be comfortable, no frills just plain basic with a comfortable bed and good clean shower facilities. The hotel staff were friendly and willing to help with any queries we had.... Is well located in the center of Madrid, but not very well maintained and a little bit pricey for what it offers. More

Lovely clean room with eco friendly bathroom. Great common area with help yourself breakfast and snacks. Use of computer and wifi. In a great location in a street full of tapas bars, near Atocha but also easy walk to Plaza Santa Ana and Plaza Mayor. More

Hostal Chic & Basic Clours is situated in the centre of the city, about 5 minutes walking to the metro Anton Martin. Near hostal you can find lots of café. But it was difficult for us to find hostal, because it doesn`t have it`s own entrance and visible signboard. Hostal is situated on the third floor, but it doesn`t have... More

We took this that hostal because of his Location. Its situated very close to the central squares like Sol and Plaza Mayor and (it was very important) its close to Atocha Rail Station. The nearest Metro Station is Anton Martin. But you have to know how to find that hostal because the signboard is very imperceptible. The hostal is situated... More

Pros: Location, Location, Location - No better place to say. You are steps away to plaza del sol and several metro lines. Extremely easy to find. Tapas bars surround you and it's a great base camp for a trip around the historic section of Madrid. The staff are also extremely helpful and friendly. Cons: Underwhelming decor. WiFi was down the... For a citytrip with friends, we had two apartments (one for the guys, one for the ladies). A noisy one streetside, a quiet one courtyard side. Remember this if you consider going here: streetview was very charming but noisy. As said: good location and affordable. However, I must admit I had higher expectations. The shower will give you about one... More

We stayed in one of apartments offered at the Colors location and although it was spacious enough, it lacked certain amenities that makes one's stay comfortable (and that you'd expect when renting an apartment.) The pillows were sub-standard and had to be supplemented with a towel, there was no duvet, just a sheet and some blankets in the closet, no... More
