my view of these apartments are excellent for budget travellers. the Apts are ideally situated for both the new town area and the old town area.they are what you expect of a 2 star hotel, there are complaints about the doors dont lock (double locks require people to double lock the door both in and out, some people really need to try... Just got back from 1 week at Amalia Apartments. First impression was exactly as expected from the other reviews, dodgy looking bar below, frequented by a lot of drunk northern men! Got welcomed to 'Fawlty Towers' upon arrival. The room was large, clean and perfectly fine for a weeks stay, especially for the price we paid. Once we had settled... More

*Not a review* Just a notice really that although the apartments havent got great reviews, the guy who runs the bar downstairs, John was a great guy. There's a bar downstairs providing breakfast, and snacks during the day.prices were brilliant- 3euros for a full english! The bars owners, more than happy to chat and help in any way. There's a... Went there for 10 nights with a friend, nice pleasant spacious apartment with big balcony, everything you need in the apartment, staff were friendly and helpful, excellent central location ten minutes walk to the pubs/clubs/beach and five minute walk to the old town. Had no problems at all while staying there and met some nice charachters in the bar downstairs.... More

Arrived for four night stay, room uninhabitable unless you like dirty sheets and floors and scruffy bathrooms! after viewing room went out looking for another hotel as could not stay there. This place is a filthy hell hole, all doors looked as though they had been kicked in. Please do not waste your money on the Amalia Appartments. Traveller take... More
