My wife and I spent a couple of nights in this little villa. We drove to Amalfi from Naples and were only to pleased to be able to get rid of the car in the car park (€18 per night) near the villa. If we travelled again I think we would try to travel by bus and taxi as there... More

I could not recommend this place any higher, not sure about the negative review before. Located on the side of a hill, short lift ride up the hill or you can climb the steps as we did when not lugging our bags. You get a FANTASTIC view of this genuine Italian town. After a train ride from Rome I was... More

Based on GREAT REVIEWS (despite the unexpected cancellations others experienced) I decided to book this hotel for our trip (2 nights in Amalfi). Booked directly. Paid cash to save 10 euro per night. No bad experiences with booking. However.... We rented a car from Sorento, drove to Amalfi. Hard to find hotel (no fault of theirs) Just hard to find... More

This cozy B&B offers a comfortable, relaxed, and enjoyable stay in the company of hospitable staff. The location is perfect, towards the end of the main street in Amalfi, therefore far enough from any noise. The view from the room was towards the mountains rather than the sea, yet it was so tranquil and peaceful. The breakfast was fresh and... More

My husband and I and our two teenage daughters stayed at La Villa for a week over Easter. Having driven from Rome, we were able to make use of the parking service a short walk from the Hotel and leave our car there when necessary. The region was experiencing a very cold snap when we arrived and Villa Lara was... More

After the tense drive through the tiny streets of Amalfi we arrived at Villa Lara to a nice man who parked our car somewhere safe for the duration of our stay. It was nice not to have to worry about it being parked on the narrow street while we were there. We then walked through the gate, through an arch... More

I stayed in villa Lara for 1 night in November being part of one year traveling the world. Currently I am in Indonesia and I would have to stay I think in all of my trip so far Amalfi has been the best place to visit and certainly Villa Lara for the price is the best clean accomodation. As it... More

i spent a couple of days over NYE in Villa Lara in Amalfi after I met some people on the train who suggested i stayed there instead of Positano which was my original plan. What a god send that suggestion was because it was everything and more I hoped for. The location, the view, the room, the service was impecable.... More

Even now in raw January, I remember sitting on the terrace feeling the warm september breeze on my arms while enjoying the magnificent view. We had the turquoise room which was spacious, airy with a big balcony that faced the mountain. The staff was beyond friendly and very eager to suggest what to do and where to eat. I'd go... More
