My wife and I have just returned from a 1 week half board holiday at the La Badia hotel, it was fantastic. Like many before us we booked the break from the Sunday Times and never expected it to be as good as it was. The staff were fantastic as were the meals and the setting could not have been... More

MrBestest thought we would enjoy La Badia, and we certainly did. A lovely room and bathroom, and a terrace with a view of the bay and the sunsets. If you think you'll be spending time pottering in your room it's worth paying the extra for that view, especially if it's as sunny as it was for us. The gardens are... More

We booked individually, because of the warm recommendation of a very reliable guidebook. This charming hotel is surronded by a small park with olive trees, unlike most of the other hotels in the area away from the traffic, but still in walking distance to Sorrento. We had a room with breathtaking view over Sorrento, the gulf, the Vesuvio, Naples and... More

Hard to find...even with a GPS as the property is off-road through an olive grove & not well signposted BUT once you are there, the views are fantastic, the facilities (pool, terraces etc) very good. The location - out of town/above Sorrento - is an easy 20minute walk DOWN to town - but a hard 45+minutes back up! Breakfast is... More

We chose Hotel la Badia as our base on a Riviera Travel week long tour of the area. We knew we would have a packed itinerary which would leave us little time in the hotel. We paid for, and were given, a room with a magnificent view across the Bay of Naples, flanked by the local hills and opposite Vesuvius.... More

Stayed at the La Badia, Lovely cosy hotel, the most marvelous view from our terrace across Naples bay To the Vasuvius volcano, just breath tacking. good position for reaching Sorrentto by way of zig zag path.but far enough from the madding crowd. I would recommend the La Badia everytime. More

Went with Riviera Travel the second week in October when the weather was still warm. After being welcomed by a thunderstorm by the time we arrived at La Badia the weather had changed. We had a warm welcome and shown into our room, which was very pretty but very compact (no room for our two cases!!) but a stunning view... More

Recently returned from a week's stay at La Badia-again with Riviera Travel. We had paid extra for a sea view , but, I did email the hotel about a week before to request a large room, if possible. We were not disappointed-Room 33-down a small flight of steps, but, there is a lift albeit quite slow ! Overall, La Badia... More

Like many of those who have reviewed this hotel, we spent a week at La Badia on a Riviera Travel tour. We chose it on the basis of reviews and because of its secluded position away from (but easily accessible to) the town, and we were not disappointed. Our room was small, but the views were stunning! Right across the... More

We usually travel independently, but not wanting to drive in Italy, we booked with Riviera Travel with inclusive tours and were not disappointed. There were other more modern 4* hotels to choose from, but, having spoken with some staying in those hotels when on trips out, we believe we made the right choice. La Badia was a monastery until 50... More
