This place in Rome, is not a B&B! There was no real bed or breakfast at this pensione. I was not expecting much for our budget level, but two cots and instant coffee is below even my low expectations. The proprietors of this establishment should call it what it is, a bare bones room for dirt cheap price, a dry,... More

this b&b is very central, thus making a good start for the city. quite basic and simple in furniture but it has anything you need plus coffee and tea everytime you need it (and i need 'em a lot!). The staff there is helpful and provide you with a lots of hints and tips&tricks for your journey in the eternal... More

Me and my cousin went rome to stay at this b&b. As we got there we had to wait outside until someone came to get us. As we got into the b&b it looked nothing like it did in the pictures! The rooms was disgusting marks and dust everywhere! Looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while! The toilets... More

First things first. This is cheap accomodation for central Rome, and we definately did not expect much for the price. However, we were a little disappointed with it. The good : The staff were very pleasant and very helpful, although we only saw one persone when we checked in. The location is perfect! The metro station was a two minute... More

I stayed at Blackberry House in Sept and found it a pleasant stay. The host, Barbara was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned every morning as well as the living area and bathrooms. Located just 10mins walk away from the Colosseum and 5 from the nearest underground station, getting around Rome is not a problem. Would recommend Blackberry House... More

Negatives. Shared bathing facilities, noisey and the bathroom was a bit grubby at times! The owner is very nice, for the money it was fine we would probably go to somewhere a bit nicer but if your on a tight budget it's very good I guess! If you can afford a bit nicer I would probably do that but this... More

We had a great time here, it's the perfect location for doing Rome - it's right next to a tube stop, or you can walk to to the Colosseum. Make sure the first time you venture into old Rome, you must walk it as seeing the Colosseum looming in the distance as you get near is a sight to see.... More

Stayed at Blackberry House for 4 nights. Like all the other guests have commented, breakfast is pretty bad: either packaged bread with some kind of syrup inside or chocolate pastries. Definitely not healthy for you to eat everyday. But there's different flavors of coffee and tea at the common area. Owner Barbara meets you when you check-in, and gives you... More

When you arrive at the front door it looks a little ominous and the rooms are pretty basic but hey, the location is great - just along from the metro, the owner is really nice and very helpful and the place is clean. What more do you need when crashing in Rome? Good value for money! More

We stayed at Blackberry House for seven nights in January. The room was decent, simple and clean. There were two bathrooms shared by all guests: one large, one small. The bathrooms were cleaned each morning. Breakfast was packaged pastries, cereals, and juice. We read great reviews about the owner, Barbara, but didn't have much contact with her ourselves. She did... More
