I traveled here in may 2009 with my Husband and 8 year old daughter. Firstly Barbara who runs the b&b was absolutely lovely and very helpful. We arrived late afternoon and as we walked through the courtyard to get to the apartment even the neighbours were happily pointing us in the right direction. Once there, Barbara immediately showed us to... More

As many other people have said, Barbara is an amazing hostess. She took the time to talk about the sights and provided us with a map of the city. The Blackberry Inn was perfect for us: clean, comfortable, and close to the metro station (manzione). It was very easy to get around Rome, and we had a great stay here! More

The best thing about this BnB is the owner, Barbara. She's very gracious, helpful and attentive. We had an early flight out of Rome and so we had to leave early, but she left a tray of breakfast goodies in our room the night before. She also arranged for our taxi ride to the airport. The location can't be beat.... More

Barbara is a very very nice lady and her Cameroon assistant is very lively and likeable as well both hostesses could not do more than they did for us....however this is really a backpacker establishment and not a B and B. Blackberry house is a good cheap B and B however should only be called a Bed as the breakfast... More

I originally booked the Blackberry near to the Colosseum but the day before I traveled Barbara contacted me to say she had a problem with this apartment and had a new apartment available near to termini station I was not happy with this as I was traveling with my elderly mother and wanted a quiet area and thought the area... We stayed at Blackberry House for three nights in June 2009 and we very pleased overall. Barbara is very kind and considerate, and while her English is limited, she more than makes up for it with her careful attention and suggestions for good local places, away from the over-price and tourist-congested spots. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the... More

I stayed one night at the blackberry house. when i got there, the owner barbara came out to meet me and informed me that the place was full (even though I had made an online booking 4 weeks prior). She was really sweet about it though, and brought me to her place to stay at instead - which is just... More

We stayed at the Blackberry House in May for two nights. While the location is good and the rooms are very clean, we had a hard time sleeping on the spring mattresses. When I confirmed the reservation two days before, I was notified that I would be staying in the new rooms in a different location. I'm not sure what... More

While staying at The Blackberry House, I felt more like I was staying at my friend's apartment than in a b&b with a bunch of strangers. Without the hospitality of Barbara this accomodation might have been merely tolerable but her friendliness and desire to help really made the difference and caused any negatives about the place worth putting up with.... We arrived at the Blackberry via Taxi and Barbara, the manager, was waiting outside the door for us. From outside the massive door, I wondered what awaited us, but just inside, a beautiful spacious courtyard spanned the center of the building with colorful flowers and greenery. This was our first pleasant surprise. We went up several floors via the stairs.... More
