My husband and I booked a Casa di Maurizio Bed & Breakfast for 2 nights (19th and 20th October 2017) for our first trip to Rome and Italy. The location is excellent. 5 minutes walking distance from bus stops that would take us to all the attractions and most central areas. The room was clean and well equipped with a nice bathroom, little balcony (was too cold to keep open so did not try), a TV, mini bar, free wifi and even an iPad (we did not use it). Most attractions were easily accessible by buses that left from a bus stop called Boncompagni which was 5 minutes away. There were taxis easily available too. The area was very upscale and had a lot of really good eateries. Stefano was of great help and very friendly with directions, suggestions, getting us in touch with taxi drivers etc. On our last day he even allowed us to leave our valuables and luggage in the property after we checked out to leave for the Vatican. We got back late night and could wait/doze in his dining area on a comfortable sofa where no one disturbed us until our taxi came and picked us up. A special thanks to Stefano for this! He served us breakfast himself on a tray both mornings. Unfortunately the spread was disappointing. The coffee was really pretty bad considering we had great coffee everywhere in Italy. There was a small cake, croissant, packed biscuit and a glass of juice. Wasn't adequate. This is perhaps their only area where improvement is needed. Rest everything was top class including location and amenities. Stefano's employee, a young smart Bangladeshi gentleman named Palash deserves a special mention here as he gave us a lot of assistance finding places ad routes on the map. The best part was that he arranged for a Mercedes Benz taxi that picked us up from the property at 2am sharp and took us to Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino airport far far away at only 40 euros. It was unbelievable. Thanks Palaash - Dhonnobaad!! All others had quoted 70+ euros for such a late night drive. Very close to most attractions such as Piazza Venezia, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, all shopping areas and some fabulous eateries. We had a lovely stay. Thanks Stefano and Palaash - Grazie Mille!!!

My husband and I visit Italy frequently and we always stay in Rome on our last night. We have been staying in the same area for 7 years now and we love it. For us, this B&B was ideal - our perfect location, close to nice restaurants and bars, and very reasonably priced. We will definitely stay here again!

Spent 7 nights here with my boyfriend. First time in Rome. Location: I was a bit worried about the location beforehand. We did walk the entire time, and it was not exactly a problem, but after a long day of walking it was not ideal to have to walk all the way "home" (approx 30 minutes from down-down town). Especially since we spent 7 nights in rome we got a bit tired of it, and it was not all that fun after a long day of walking in the Vatican museums... Walking to Galleria Borghese, Piazza del Popolo and Spanish steps is no problem. Next time we'll stay more down-town. The room: +It was clean and rather big, as compared to your standard hotel rooms. There is a refrigerator and a safe (!). Hairdrier in the bathroom. -We had two issues: The shower head was abosolutely not clean - acutally a bit nasty... Also, the matress is one of the hardest I have ever encountered. Due to my back-issues this was terrible, but we found a duvet in the cupboard and made a "MacGyver-solution" :) Service & Breakfast: Experience the real Italian breakfast! Cappuchino and croissant (warm!). Also some other cakes and plastic packed toasted "bread" and jam. Note that they will knock on your room to serve it around 8.30... You can find all sorts of cafes in the neighbourhood if you prefer. TIP: You can ask for any other breakfast if you like, I think they can fix almost anything (e.g. eggs and "normal" bread)... Other practical information: Check-in: Stefano will leave you a note on the entrance with a number to call. You can also find this telephone number on the b&b's webpage (just google it and you'll find it). We believe he lives just around the corner, so even though we came in fairly late (around 21.00) he came within a few minutes. FYI: Check-out is 11.00 Payment: They accept card (we used VISA credit card). One of the people will contact you to fix the payment (the day before check-out), if not, just talk to one of the two guys who runs the place. Language: The two men speak decent english, so communication is no problem. Getting here: We took taxi in (since it was late and dark), but took the train back to the airport upon our departure. Approx. 20-25 minutes walk to Termini (with luggage).

We found this B&B via Trivago. Ofcours i've looked it up first on tripadvisor before booking it. We were very surprised, it was so nice. It was fully booked on our first night so they gave us the bordeaux room. (Normaly for 4 persons) everything was nice and clean. Shower was a bit small. Then they gave us the black room. I personaly loved that room. The tiles in the shower is 'to die for' But, if you need wifi don't ask for this room. Breakfast in bed every morning!! Thank you to Stefano again for taking good care of us!! (And the rest of the staff ofcours!)

Stayed here for 6 nights in June. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious. There's a small balcony were you can sit and enjoy a drink while relaxing after sightseeing. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom big enough. We had the shower in the bedroom. Breakfast is served either in your room or in the common room, your choice. The cleaning wasn't the best but you'll survive☺

A nice place to stay, two minutes from via venneto and ten minutes from spanish steps. You can walk everywhere from there. Beautiful clean and modern room with all the comforts. You get enough breakfast every day. Maurizio himself and the people who work there are very kind and helpful to anything you may ask. The price is OK considering what he offers. Highly recommended!

The room was very clean, big and cozy. though the porch is joined with other rooms there is a sense of privacy. the double bed were 2 singles put together... not the best for a couple hoping to enjoy it. the breakfast was ok, not special, just enough. The location was the really off the main tourist area, for good and for bad. the bus from termini takes you a hop away from the B&B but if you plan to walk the whole day- its not the best idea at this location. We stayed at the far room near the kitchen (that you can not use!) and the wifi didnt work about 75% of the time. other than that I think that its a nice place and Stefano was very polite and helpful.

My fiancé and his parents decided to take a 3 day trip to Roma. We needed a place to stay for 2 nights and wanted to stay somewhere local and not your typical hotel. We were more than impressed with this B&B and would definitely go back again. The team at Casa Di Maurizio were very pleasant and the breakfast that's included is great! The rooms have been renovated. We stayed in the Red Room and the Black Room. My fiancé and I stayed in the Black Room and for anyone who has gone there would understand, we want to get those tiles in the bathroom shower for our home one day! Overall, I highly recommend this B&B if you need a nice cozy place to stay.

We stayed here from 9th-11th May 2014. We had a lovely greeting from Stefano and Sam, they showed us to our room which was beautiful, very clean and tastefully decorated, the en suite bathroom looked to be quite new and very modern. Sam gave us a map of the city and marked on it where the B+B was, where the main tourist sites were and wrote the buses we need to catch to get to different places which was very informative, we would have been lost without this map. We were able to choose what time they brought us breakfast which starts from 8am, breakfast is served in the room. We chose the sweet breakfast which consisted of chocolate filled croissants, cakes and such with coffee. On reflection, the breakfast was too sweet and maybe next time we would choose the savoury breakfast. The ladies who brought breakfast don't speak very good English however it would be very rude of anyone to visit Italy and complain the staff only speak Italian!! Stefano and Sam Speak excellent English. The room was cleaned daily. The room also has a fridge and a safe which were both very useful. There are written instructions how to use the safe. One morning I had left the safe open by mistake which contained cash and passports and nothing had been touched. Clearly very trustful staff which is excellent. The B+B is situated in an apartment block which is undergoing renovations, this is no fault of the hotel. However there was no actual work being carried out during our stay so we didn't have a problem with builders and such. Our room had a flat screen tv which is basically Italian free view. Overall we were very pleasantly surprised with this place and I would definitely stay here again.

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. We had a tough time finding it, as there was construction in the area. Also, the B&B is not its own building. Rather, it is a suite of rooms in an apartment building. When we finally figured out its location, we were a little turned off by the apartment, which wasn't in the greatest of shape. The B&B itself, however, was in great shape. There are four rooms and a kitchen that the staff uses. The room my friend and I shared was clean (and cleaned every day), and elegant in a simple way. They asked us what time we wanted breakfast and they would bring a tray of food in at that time. My only problems were these: the pictures on this website do not accurately portray this B&B, which is not its own building but rather a suite of rooms in a larger building. Also, the wifi was fine until we entered our room, which was the farthest away from the wifi, and in our room we continually lost connection. They would do well to install a better router or to have a separate one in each room. Otherwise, the place was really nice.
