We wanted to eat at Fraterna Domus as we had read such good reviews on tripadvisor! when we got there for lunch around 12.40 pm, the dining room was deserted and we were their first customers...we wondered, as it was so quiet. they gave us some house wine and bread to get started..At 1.00 pm the locals started trooping in,... What a find! Had a great experience here. The room was basic yet super clean. Small room but adequate for me and my husband. The included breakfast was typical Italian style with crusty bread, cheese, coffee. They also served fruits and crackers. I wasn't able to make it to dinner but we were able to join them for lunch and... More

I learned about Fraterna Domus from the DK Eyewitness Travel Guide on Italy. It was on the list of restaurants in the Piazza Navona area, not on the hotel list. After my family and I finished our visit to the magnificent square on a beautiful sunny summer day we felt hungry and consulted the guide book for some places to... More

My husband and I stayed five nights here and we absolutely loved it. We stayed three different places in Italy, and this one was our favorite. From the Termini train station, you can take bus #70 and it drops you right in front of the convent. The nuns are very kind here. Only one speaks English, but they were quick... More

My friend and I were delighted to find Fraterna Domus even better situated at the historic heart of Rome than we had dared hope, a big plus for two older women! The nuns were kind and very helpful, phoning for a taxi to take us to the station on a wet morning, and they create a lovely atmosphere. The place... More

We had a very enjoyable stay here. The sisters were welcoming and very pleasant, and we had a large, clean room. The bathroom was one of those "no shower curtain" ones, which some people seem to find awkward but is actually very practical. There was no WiFi in the room, and the WiFi in the lobby was hit and miss,... More

The place is vermante beautiful, the rooms are very large, with 3-4 beds per room, and the bathroom is very spacious with shower, sink, toilet and bidet. There is a beautiful green park outside. Great breakfast, lunch or dinner, depending on the treatment, which are plentiful. Great for those who want to enjoy a week of peace, relaxation is quiet.

My 17 year old daughter and I stayed in Fraterna Domus Convent on via Monte Brianzo. We had a wonderful experience. The Room was clean and simple. We felt very safe here at night. The curfew worked out fine and was probably best that two women were safely tucked in by 11 pm. The breakfast was wonderful. If you arrived... More

We recently stayed here for four nights while in Rome. Location is great and it is very reasonably priced. It caters to a lot of school groups, especially for meals, but we were not disturbed at all during our stay. Our room was high up in the building with some views of the surrounding roof tops so we were not... More

I booked this convent room through monasterystays.com and was shocked to find out that they pre-payment of 99 euro went straight to the website. Beware, monasterystays.com is simply a travel agent and takes a large commission for the booking. If I had known this I would have looked a little harder to find out how to book directly with the...
