We really enjoyed the neighborhood location of Casa San Giuseppe. There were many shops and restaurants to choose from within walking distance with a real neighborhood feel and less of a touristy feel. The rooms were comfortable, although a little loud at nights from street noise. If you expect to get any type of concierge service, then this is definitely... More

I felt extremely taken advantage of at this hotel. The staff made the mistake of booking 4 rooms under my name and insisted that although my email confirmation stated that I had booked only one room for each night it was my mistake & they forced us to pay. The darker male at the desk was extremely condescending. He was... More

This small quiet hotel is situated in Trastevere and is convenient for the Vatican and the centre of the city. It is possible to walk to many of the main attractions. It is also near many restaurants and bars. It was very good value for money with a comfortable well furnished room, which was well heated (we were there during... More

Just back from a rugby weekend in Rome and pleased to say the reviews of this hotel are very accurate. 4 couples stayed 3 nights and found the Hotel was value for money. All basic needs are met and the staff met all our requests. The location was the biggest surprise to us all. We chose the hotel because it... More

We stayed at this hotel in May 2011 and we loved the location !!! It's like living with the locals, with great small restaurants, coffee shops, souvenir shops, churches to visit, and of course, tons of gelatos :). We also enjoyed some asian restaurants nearby if you needed a change to eat. Our room is spacious, nice and clean. Bathroom... More

We took the bus from termini station got off just across the river and walked. It wasn't so bad. We finally found the hotel behind another building. The desk person didn't even smile when we came in (although I found most of the folks in Rome don't smile much....must be all those darned tourists :P ). So we get to... More

My husband and I went to Rome at the end of January and stayed in Casa San Giuseppe. We were very pleased generally. The room was quiet, large enough and clean, the bathroom lovely. Staff doing breakfasts etc were very friendly and helpful. Staff in reception were mostly friendly - not all of them. The location is super - walking... More

I went to Rome on New year's eve with my friends. The rooms were clean and big enough, the hotel was near to the main attractions but, it was quite far from the railway station (Termini). The staff was very kind and available, but, the breakfast was not as big as described in their website and there wasn't any wifi... More

This hotel is a rare jewel set in beautiful Trastevere. A room facing the courtyard is best although facing the street is a beautiful experience too. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms spacious. The location is wonderful with a nearby coffee shop that sells the best take out cappuccinos I have ever had - the pastries are to die... More

The location can not be beaten, the rooms can be large (although that is uneven), and the service is spotty. On my last stay, internet was not available and the staff didn't seen to care or make an effort to help me locate a place with internet access; staff does not keep train schedules and can't help with train schedules....
