...book your room at the Hotel Locarno. I stayed at this hotel many times, with or without children, in the large suite under the roof (ideal with 2 childeren) or in a simple double or single room, it was always perfect. The ambience, the decor, the patio and the breakfast bufet, the bar and entrance....everyhing is just charming and nice... More

This was booked by my travel agent and I Was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews on trip advisor! The experience was delightful. We stayed in room 606 which is an upgraded suite. Large, comfortable with windows that open which is great. It is quiet and solo central. Just on piazza del popolo and via corso. Good for shopping... More

Umm... slightly naughty Deco feel. Divine room. Welcoming bar. Beautiful ambiance. Stunning overall. Good location. Fairly quiet (for Rome). Loved it. More

Hotel Locarno is a very charming hotel, beautiful old building and friendly staff. The garden bar is very cool (try the cocktails!) and visited by many locals. Location is a strong point, it is ideal for a weekend in Rome, the best starting point for day trips and has many nice restaurants nearby. We loved the bike rental service the... More

A travelers first impression of a hotel is usually the reception one receives upon arrival. At the Hotel Locarno Rome the people at the reception desk obviously need lessons on hospitality. Our assigned room was not only tiny, but quite dirty.....in need of paint, the white curtains were a very dark gray , the air conditioning/heating unit, which was attached... More

This was the absolute highlight of our stay. Our experience in Rome could have been completely different if we had stay close to Termini station let's say... nothing wrong with that location however it's crazy busy and does not stop. Locarno Hotel is on a small, beautiful, quiet street of Rome close to Piazza di Popolo, great location with everything... More

I liked my stay at the Locarno very much. It's not a luxurious hotel, however it has a lot of charm to it and the location is great! That being said I understand the reviews that say the hotel is in need of restoration! The furniture is rather run down but the atmosphere makes up for it! Also some of... More

I had the good luck to be in Rome for ten days of work. At first glance of my room at Hotel Locarno, I almost switched hotels. This is an older building (like many in Rome) with older amenities. My room was quite large for Europe, but had a bed like a rock, pillows that were not much more comfortable,... More

The location is wonderful near the Piazza del Popolo. The problem is the bad condition of the art nouveau building, too old. It really needs urgent restoration. One wall of the rooms we have reserved had plenty of insects and little animals that "attacked" who slept there. Those animals were hidden when we arrived in the morning. But in the... More

We recently stayed here for 4 nights. Our first room (which we found out later was a "premium" room) had bad windows which allowed all the street noise into the room and it had a major problem in the bathroom. The toilet wouldn't stop running, and the shower door allowed tons of water to escape onto the bathroom floor, flooding... More
