The Excelsior is a very good hotel in a terrific location in Rome. It has great walking access to many of the things that you want to see. The room and the service were very good but the decor is tired and a bit worn. More

This hotel was beautiful, although a bit musty which aggrevating for allergy sufferers. After reading some of the reviews, adimtedly I was expecting rude staff members. This once beautiful hotel is now run down and shabby. Our room had terribly stained carpeting, chipped furniture, knobs falling off closet doors, and distorted mirrors.
