Gate 1 Travel recommended and booked this hotel for us. Its location was great, very close to the subway and main train terminal, where we took a train to Florence. The 1st stop of the GLT green line tours bus ( hop on and off ) is few minutes walk from it, which is a great way to see Rome.... More

I have stayed at the Mediterraneo twice within the space of a year. The hotel is old and while one can see it was a prestigious hotel in its time it sadly is no longer top class. They do however have decent rates and it is perfectly located for a first time visitor to Rome given its ridiculously close proximity... More

hmmm, I read some reviews and feel that I stayed at a different hotel. The room was large and roomy compared to previous stay, either newly refurbished, or very well kept up. I had no issues connecting to the internet, but admit, they do something a bit odd with log in and would hope they see the sense at some... More

Terrible wi-fi, only the old Intourist system would rate as 4 stars. Noisy staff especially in the morning you wake up as they clean the near by rooms. Toilet in a very bad and old condition. You can hear other people using and flashing the toilet. Been away in the morning and coming back at about 14:00 found out that... More

The Good- Great location- Walking distance to the Coliseum, ton's of shopping, great restaurants, and small shops. Very easy to navigate from the hotel to what ever we wanted to go to. Rooms were clean and comfortable, up to date but you can tell it's old but well kept. Elevators are small like many in Italy. Great views from the... More

Right across the street from Termini station, we chose the hotel primarily for that reason. It's a bit older but a decent Frontdesk experience and nice rooftop restaurant kinda makes up for it. Room was ok and a good jump off point for our cruise through the eastern med.

I stayed here 2 nights while on a tour, and it was one of the best hotels. The room is large (for a European Hotel), the bathroom had a good supply of toiletries, and the breakfast had a good variety. The location was superb. It was walking distance from the railroad station and had tons of shopping and restaurants nearby.... More

Excellent location and close to Rome Termini. However, the hotel has an old look and feel to it. I requested a bed for a couple and 2 separate beds were supplied and only corrected the day before we left. Great breakfast, which was included in price and free internet but one had to get a new code daily. The bathroom... More

We had not planned to stay here, in fact we walked right past it on on way to the hotel we had booked. But there was a problem with the room at that hotel and that owner had booked into the Mediterraneo for one night. This is a bit larger hotel, very clean and well run. As other note it... More

The hotel is centrally located close to Roma Termini. The pick up for the Vatican tour is also closeby. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We had two connected rooms - for our kids. It was very safe at night. The breakfast was excellent. The internet connection was okay. The main attraction of this hotel is its proximity to Roma... More
