We have just returned from Rome yesterday 15/05/12 having spent 3 nights in the American palace Rome. Having read all the reports on this hotel i thinks its time for the truth! We were really apprehensive staying here after the mixed reports on all the sites. The Hotel is at the end of the B line metro in Laurentino 11... More

We spent 3 nights here for our 20th anniversary. I'd read some horror reviews and was expecting the worst BUT we got this holiday at a really low price so we (I) wasn't expecting the Ritz lol. The reception staff were wooden and impolite with passable english skills but we get that in the Uk so no problem there. The... More

This hotel is obviously not a 4 star hotel. Our room faced the street, and altough the room had a closed balcony which you could not go in, we could still hear the noise from the street cars with the windows closed. I don't consider this a major issue because we were so tired from walking in Rome that would... More

We went on a whim to Rome during a trip to Italy so this Hotel looked good for a last min deal. To start with the good, it is very close to the Metro and the area is residential so not to loud. Now for the bad. I would not call this a 4 star hotel even though they advertise... More

The hotel was clean, the room was adequate, clean, and quiet at the back of the hotel, there is a busy road at the front of the hotel so these rooms maybe a bit noisier, drinks and chocolate in the fridge with a price list, .4 of a litre of beer is 5euro. The breakfast was fine, tea, coffee, juice, ham, cheese, eggs, jams, buns, they seemed to be... More

Just back from this hotel after 4 nights celebrating my hisband 60th birthday. We knew 4 star abroad is not quite the same as 4 star Britain but this hotel should rate barely a 3 star. The young reception staff are great, the older ones are just miserable. We were shown to a room that was not much larger than... More

This hotel needs a name change, as it is certainly NOT a TOP American Hotel, and no where near a palace! Not sure when the photos were taken on their website, but there was lots of lipstick on that pig. Very shabby property. Front desk staff clearly are not in love with their jobs, even though we were pleasant to... More
