Although excellently located the hotel, once past reception, was a bit shabby. Our room was facing the 'serene inner courtyard' which was a collection of heating pipes and metal fire escapes and no view whatsoever other than the back of other buildings! Best location, excellent service from all the staff especially Luigi who gave great advice and very helpful. Clean rooms, quaint "olde worlde" lift small shower the only drawback. Travelling for three weeks with our adult children staying in 3 & 4 star establishments Hotel Emmaus remains our most memorable. More

Brilliant location for exploring Rome. Only 5 mins walk into St Peter's Square. Front of House staff were very helpful and the old lift was both beautiful to look at and worked well. The room was comfortable and clean and even had a refrigerator. More
