We stayed here for the Rome marathon weekend, we wanted something cheap with friends. Simple and basic is what we got! Getting up to the hotel was an adventure in its self, in the tiny 'wood look' closet like elevator! We booked a quad which was the same size as a regular double room, when we entered the room it... Very disappointing....We went there and we saw nothing like what we saw in the internet.!!!!! The room was very dark, like a cell,no balcony ofcourse and the only view was the back cement walls from the nowhere...No decoration, curtains like a child's handcraft ,poor breakfast. When we complained about our cell-room the receptionist was like we were crazy and didn't know what... More

I have just returned from Rome, it was my 3rd stay at Scott House. The hotel is a little more expensive than last year however they have made rennovations and much improved their breakfast service. The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. If you travel solo and if you book in advance, request for rooms 516/517... More

We got a very good deal on the price but it was ok for 2 nights. Room was clean, towels changed, good breakfast included in price. We had a room at the last floor and the view over the rooftops of Rome was great. I've always been aware that Termini is not the best area in Rome since I'm a... More

Our flight was for next day after our cruise, so we needed a place to stay for one night. Since we were traveling by train, this place was perfect, as it was only about a 5 minute walk from Termini station. The place was not hard to find once you were on the right street. However it was quite a... More

We needed a hotel room for a one night stay in Rome on 21st October, somewhere close to the railway station and chose the Scott House Hotel, after reading various hotel reviews on tripadvisor. First impressions are not good as the hotel entrance is via a rather dodgy looking hallway, guarded by a few odd looking characters standing on the... More

The best about this hotel is its location. Very easy to get from airport (by train) and very convenient to explore the city. 15 min to Colosseum etc. Neighborhood not the most beautiful, but many restaurants nearby and also good supermarket next to the basilica. Friendly service at the hotel, rooms clean, towels changed daily. Good! Rooms and specially the... More

It is expensive to stay in Rome but this hotel has more reasonable rates. It is two blocks from the main train station so it's convenient although not the most interesting part of the city. There are many restaurants nearby. The hotel is located on the 4th & 5th floors of a building that also holds two other hotels. The... More

We had a Double room on the 5th floor overlooking the street with a cute little balcony. Room was a good size, very clean and neat. There are plenty of restaraunts in the vicinity that had authentic italian meals at good prices. You did have to leave a 5 Euro deposit for the tv remote, but seriously, why would you... More
