In the 17th Century the Barberini family controlled a large slice of Rome. Maffeo Barberini, who figures in a series of tapestries in the Vatican Museum (you have to go!) ultimately became Pope Urban VIII. This little hotel is across the street from Palazzo Barberini, now a museum. The position, close to Piazza Barberini for the Metro and buses, and... More

Last week we checked into this hotel. Unfortunately for one night only. Rome was our last stop on a 7 week vacation and as such we figured that after such a long trip away from home we would be eager to get home. What a shame we could not stay longer. Being picked up from the ship at Civitavecchia by... More

We were on our honeymoon and I found hotel barbarini online - chose to stay there because of its location... Location was good about 10 minutes walk to major attractions, safe area but we Pre-paid in full before arriving which was a major mistake!!! We paid 250 euro a night and got the smallest room on the floor while we... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July 2011 as part of our 6 week vacation in Europe. We were joining an Adventures by Disney tour which started at a nearby hotel, so the location was good for us. The hotel was comfortable - a little crowded for the 4 of us, but fine. The breakfast was good... More

Booked this hotel last minute and was not disappointed! Everything was good, if not great - room & bathroom, staff, breakfast, location. I'll start with the room. It may seem small for Americans but it was a good size for Europe. It's not huge, but you can stretch out your arms and not touch both walls. I was comfortable and... More

This staff at Barberini Hotel is fantastic. Can't say enough about the service. We had numerous special requests and they always came to our rescue. We traveled on a mom/daughter trip. There were 4 of us. My friend's mom accidentally dropped her bracelet down the drain the night before leaving. Of course we were pressed to get to the airport,... More

As we arrived very late, we were accommodated in a temporary room which was quite small, but adequate. However, the next day we moved to a larger room which was very nice. From the start, the staff were very helpful and kind. In fact, they they really made the time in the hotel a pleasure. The loction of the hotel... More

We enjoyed our stay here. It's centrally located - we could walk everywhere (even to Vatican city), has free internet and an extensive breakfast buffet (we had so much food for our long days of sightseeing). Breakfast was included with our rate which was ideal. The room was clean and the bathroom was updated. The receptionist were really helpful and... More

This is a good hotel, very close to Fontana di Trevi. I was lucky to pay about 100 euro for a single room but prices may be up to even 300 euro, depending on the period you go there. Breakfast is American breakfast and it takes place on an indoor terrace with an excellent view on Rome. Breakfast was included... More

Dear Guest, We thank you for your review and we are really glad to know that you enjoyed your stay in our property. Referring to your remark about bar service, the opening time is from h 6:00 pm until h 10:00 pm, so we probably forgot to turn off the lights. The receptionist suggested to use mini-bar since drinks and... More
