We have just returned from a stay at the Virgilio hotel. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated between the Colloseum and the Trevi fountain, so it was perfect to access these and the Roman Fort, The Palatine, the Spanish Steps etc. The breakfast was fine and you could have as... After staying in an unsafe hotel in Rome, we were so happy to find this hotel that was recommended by a friend. Staff is professional and definitely into your safety and making sure your stay/experience is good. Great value and good, central location. Close to shopping streets and great restaurants.

This being our second stay here, says it all! Hotel very well situated within easy walking distance of all the sights. Staff very friendly and the room was well cleaned. Liked the fact that you could put the heat n low at night as it was still a bit chilly. Bed really comfy especially after a hard days walking! Breakfast... More

we booked two rooms and requested low floor and adjacent to each other which we got. The rooms were spacious and exceptionaly clean, maid service was daily and the bed linen and towels were also changed. The breakfast was fine and there was always room for us to sit together as a family of five. Staff were all pleasant and... More

The Virgilio is a very good 3 star hotel, good value for money and ideally situated for most if not all of Rome's major sites(just 10/15 mins walk). There ample eating places within that walk. The hotel itself is well decorated although the rooms could do with a freshen up.The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was variable with scrambled eegs and... To say our room was tiny would be a drastic understatement. There was enough room on one side of the double bed for one person to stand. It was a challenge to find a spare place to store our luggage, and the bathroom was as well lit as a prison chamber of a ancient castle. Upon arriving, the elevator didn't... More

A small group of 7 of us occupied 4 rooms for 4 nights at the Virgilio this Easter. We felt it represented excellent value for money, is in a first rate location and has a great breakfast offering (though the drinks do come from a machine). We had 2 double, one twin and one single rooms. We all found the... More

Very well located, just 5min walking from Roma Termini station. Rather close to some attractions (i.e. Coliseum), and with a good sort of places to lunch / dine near the hotel, and a good supermarket at the other side of a tunnel near the hotel (at Via Milano, if I'm not mistaken), that was a good option to buy some... One of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. All attractions within walking distance, 10-15 min every way of the hotel. Breakfast was decent compared to many Roman hotels, with eggs and bacon, sausage, toast, cereals, bread, jam, ham, cheese and many sweets. Decent coffe, but a bit to sweet for my taste. Good service at the desk. Tiny... More

Just back from a four day break in Rome. Six of us traveled together on this trip. The hotel is quite near the Termini and was easy to walk to after getting the bus from the airport.Within walking distance to attractions, although too far if you have walking difficulties. Check in was quite slow and I had asked for 3 rooms... More
