This hotel was booked by and recommended by our Travel agent. The room size was very good for two of us. Location was also very good for what we were doing in Rome. The Hotel is a very old building that appears to have been renovated / converted into rooms with limited expense. Within our room wallpaper was torn, falling... More

Hotel Zara is the WORST HOTEL we ever stayed in. They advertise themselves as 3 star hotel and trust me, it doesn't deserve a STAR at all!!!! Air condition did not work, no service in the rooms, we asked for glasses and cups in the room and the staff was not ready to provide the same to us in the... More

Having booked the hotel zara for 4 nights, i then looked on trip adviser and was shocked by the comments. Be rest assured the hotel is fine. our room was lovely, consisted of a double bed and a single bed, there was only the two of us, myself and my daughter, so the extra bed was a bonus. The shower... At best this hotel is a two star... Air conditioning did not work, rooms were cramped, staff were barely helpful with an issue I had. I think the location isn't that good for Rome... Long walks to get to Centro Storico - the historical section of the city. Just seems like the place has been neglected... A little bit of... More

We stayed at the hotel Zara for 4 nights for a city break.Location is superb easy access to all amenities. The hotel needs updating rooms are very tired as stated in other reviews. Most staff were very friendly but a smile at breakfast would not have gone amiss. overall for a short break in a city hotel it was value for... More

Whilst this hotel is close to the attractions in Rome, the standard of the hotel and the quality of the rooms is absolutely appalling. The rooms are cramped, the decor dated, the toilet seats were hanging off the toilet, there was rotten wood door frames and the breakfast was disgusting.

Location is good and price is right, but... Room was extremely small and temperature difficult to control (I traveled in June and it was brutally hot outside). Shower would spill water all over the bathroom and drain wasn't working properly. Therefore, not only the water would splash while you showered because the curtain was useless, but would also "flood". There... More

The only thing going for this hotel is its location. On first impression of the room, I was appalled. Broken wardrobe doors, exposed/broken power sockets, poor lighting with only two of the three lamps working( this we reported to the concierge twice but nothing was done!), no towel rails in the bathroom/toilet roll holders/or hooks! Door frame in the bathroom... More

Right at the old city center of Rome on Via delle Quattro Fontane, close to the Spanish Steps, Via Nazionale, Trevi Fountain, Piazza della Repubblica and many more.. If you need more than a dissent place to sleep and a nice and simple breakfast, this place isn't for you. For me and my wife this was enough (and more), with... More

I stayed at this hotel in October on my solo-trip. Single room I had is very small but OK for one person and clean. Room contains basic things you need like bed, desk, chair, small fridge, TV, wardrobe, phone, and separate bathroom with a tiny shower. I do not mind outdated furniture and TV as I was spending all days... More
