This is a great little hotel in a nice area of Rome, handy for Ottiviano Metro, the vatican and lots of nice restaurants & bars close by. Staff are attentive & helpful and breakfast is pleasant. We had a little patio on our first floor room which was nice to sit out of an evening. Great deal for this hotel... More

Very friendly service, great breakfast, walking distance 5-10 minutes to Metro, 10-15 minutes to the Vatican. Had a junior suite for sleeping 4 people - tight space but functional. Loved the Jacuzzi after a long day of walking. More

This Hotel is small and friendly and the staff are very helpful. The rooms albeit small are funky and clean and just a decent place to lay your head at night. I would definitely use the hotel again. Its very close (10 min Walk) to the Vatican and St Peters. Lots of nice little places to stop for Coffee and... More

We spent a weekend in this hotel, from website and reviews everything was looking good, but the moment we booked, an alarm went off in my head. I phoned the hotel to book, while i was on Venere.com trying to book online, but the concierge told me .... " sorry we are fully booked" so i tried to book online... More

We stayed during August during the hot temperatures. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we found the staff to be helpful. We used the direct taxi service to the hotel, however the bus shuttle service is a lot cheaper and easy to use from the main bus terminal. It is a small walk to the metro but there are shops and... Franklin is a cute little 3 star hotel, with very friendly staff and a decent breakfast spread (nothing terribly exciting, but definitely enough to get you going in the morning). The rooms are fine and the cd selection and sound systems are a cute touch. I could occasionally hear some noises from neighboring rooms, but nothing too bad. The bath... More

This was a great experience! The Franklin (with its quirky musical theme) offers the American visitor with a quaint and different lodging experience. The staff are attentive, the rooms are clean and neat, and the morning breakfast is a good blend of American and European tastes. Each room has its own CD system and there is a nice collection of... I stayed in Franklin Hotel for four nights in november/2011 and didn't get disappointed. The reception desk and lobby are small and simple, yet clean and welcoming, with a nice decoration. Staff was kind and attentive and room service was efficient. Breakfast was acceptable, with a very good cappuccino. Rooms could be a bit larger, but still it offered comfort... More

This hotel is ideally situated for a trip to Rome. Within easy walking distance from the Vatican with all its museums, churches and history, you can easily get to the city centre on foot or by metro. The staff are so welcoming and do anything they can to help with your visit. Loved the courtyard restaurant where breakfast is served.... More

After completing a Globus Tours "Best of Italy" for 11 days, my wife and I wanted to see more of what Roma had to offer. We found the Franklin to be a great little neighborhood gem, and enjoyed a few days living among the locals for a change, instead of a chain hotel. The room was very clean, the staff... More
