My family of six (aged 75, 46, 45 x 2, 16 and 14) stayed here as part of an Andante tour. As we were in Rome for the archaeology the location was very good as we were in walking distance of most of the important monuments. On occasions we did use the buses which are numerous a few minutes walk... More

You can sleep in until 0830 and still arrive at the Pantheon when it opens at 0900 and have this wonderful, unique site totally to your self, A few hours later, and for the rest of the day, it will be totally packed and lose much of its charm. The Santa Chiara also is so central that you can walk... More

We (family of four) stayed at the Santa Chiara the last week of March. From the moment we entered the front doors, we were taken care of. The staff are exceptional (a special mention to Frederica and the young gentleman at the front counter in the evening) and went beyond my expectations on any request, big or small, we had.... More

This is our second stay at Santa Chiara. In the interim, we've stayed at others. I think S.C. is the best hotel we've found in Rome for location, service, breakfast, and rooms. We got a very good price through their website for our new, large room in the newly renovated area. Lovely, but also enjoyed the large older room we'd... More

The location couldn't be better - behind Pantheon but on a quiet street. There is a new section and an older one which was somewhat under renovation when I was there in Feb. All is clean and neat however. Family owned, so the staff is attentive. The breakfast IS a bit ordinary - canned fruit cocktail, weak coffee, but the... More

The location of this hotel is very good: right behind the Pantheon, so its a very good starting point for seeing some part of Rome. The service is good and the rooms are OK, but rather small. On the contrary, I would advise to take your breakfast somewhere else. More

The location of this hotel, near the pantheon is excellent. The breakfast menu is the best we have got in Italy. Rooms are clean and the staff is helpful. Only thing which is miossing is free internet connectivity. Other than that I would definitely go back to this hotel. The sleep quality is good even though there is noise coming... More

Our family of 4 (parents with our 2 teenage daughters) stayed here March 2011. The staff was exceptional (except of course for 2 staff members....). The conceirge helped us months ahead of time (one conceirge was exceptional while the other, a family member of the hotel, couldn't be bothered). The conceirge assured us she could help us get gluten free... More

I booked this hotel for it's location, and it was as advertised. Everything important, except for the Vatican is located within in walking distance. The room was big for Italian standards, and extremely clean. The breakfast was good, even though it started a little later than normal in my opinion. The friendliness of the staff, was hit or miss. The... More

Spent a few days here to visit the archaeological sites in Rome. A nice hotel, friendly helpful staff, service excellent, breakfast very good and the rooms clean and comfortable. No idea of price since I was with a group. Only drawback is the position. Coaches have to park couple of hundred yards away and the bus station is about a... More
