The location of this Hotel was nice because it was central to the major sites (Vatican, museums, major sites). It was about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station which was far with our bags. However, everything in Rome is far :). The room was average but did have a lot of space to hang or put away your... More

Good experience overall, and fair price. Great location and it includes breakfast. The wait to sit down for breakfast can be long though. Free wireless More

This is a small hotel, near the Tiberina Island, and trastevere, the location is nice, you have nice restaurants in "portico" street. Good value, large rooms...Quiet. negative aspects are: some little tasty breakfast More

This hotel was all I expected...no elevator, medium priced, small rooms, clean and comfortable. Could have not asked for a better location. However I did not expect to be treated with "distain, rudeness and unfriendly clerks at the reception desk. I stayed 5 nights and still couldn't warm up to them, even though I tried to always say "good morning... More

Small located in the 'Jewish Ghetto". Great for the traveler who wants to be near kosher restaurants. Centrally located to the sites. Front desk wasn't too nice, depending on who was there. On our last day, the new desk clerk was pretty helpful. No elevator, good a/c, decent breakfast. They did have free access to computer w/ internet in lobby. More

The location of this hotel is excellent. However, the terrible front desk service from every clerk (with the exception of one) made this hotel stay very painful. We attempted to be pleasant, but it got us nowhere. We weren't asking for anything special . . . just the essentials and it was so painful for the staff to help us.... More

The service of Hotel Arenula was not existing. We had to decide a day in advance when we wanted our breakfast the next morning. There are 4 turns for having breakfast: from 7-7.30, 7.40-8.10, 8.20-8.50 and finally 9-9.30. And you are only allowed to stay for 30 munutes. With only one man to clean the tables, bring the coffee and... More

This is a place to stay if you just want somewhere to sleep, shower and leave your belongings. If you plan to spend any time in the hotel, then dont stay here. It was clean, basic and close to all you'll want to see, including the Forums and colosseum. Its a walk to the vatican city too. In fact, its... More

We have stayed several times since 2006 at this basic 2 star hotel situated in an area where you can walk to all sites in central historical Rome. The rooms are clean and simple, the beds can be some hard, but it's ok. Their breakfast is good, with fresh rolls and croisants, as well as lots of realy good coffee.... More
