We stayed at the Celio Hotel for two days when we first arrived in Italy and it was very quiet and comfortable. We planned this trip around Karen Brown's Italy guidebook and she was spot on with her recommendation of this hotel. Roberto and his staff were very helpful and his charming little boy was very sweet. Roberto helped us... More

We just got back from Rome and a cruise. We stayed at Hotel Celio both before and after our cruise for a couple of nights. We thought the decor of our room and the bathroom was really nice. The hotel staff were very nice and supremely helpful. They arranged cars to and from the airport, recommended restaurants, and advised on... More

My wife and I had a great holiday at this hotel. The owner and staff were very friendly once we had made the initial effort to chat to them. Nothing was a trouble for them. The hotel is wonderfully placed to visit the Colosseum, Forum, Palatine and the Metro Station. Great small restaurants in the adjacent streets and small supermarkets... More

A lovely stay here in 2005. The hotel was very unique with mosaic floors in the building and the bathroom of the room. The whole décor of the room was also very unique and lovely. It is a close walk to all the sights and the coliseum and plenty of restaurants nearby to try, although most seemed to close early... More

We have just returned from a week in Rome, staying in Hotel Celio. I have to say that after booking it I checked the reviews here and I was worried about the mixed reviews that it received. In fairness apart from the size of the room which was a bit small(But what will you get in Rome for 200 Euro a... More

This has been the 6th time we have ended our trips to Italy with a stay at the Hotel Celio. As always, the staff is extremely accommodating and helpful. We have had the pleasure of seeing the hotel grow over the years and are constantly amazed at the beautiful rooms and overall appearance of the property. We will never hesitate... More

Totally overpriced hotel, you pay for the location. The rooms we had, 260 euro per night, were ridiculously small and bared no comparison to the pictures on the website. Tiny bathrooms and rude staff. Do not book if you can help it More

Booked this hotel as a surprise for my wife for our silver wedding anniversary in March 2007. Great location!! Yes, you can see the Colleseum from the roof garden. Approx 200 metres yet far enough away not to get too much traffic noise. If only I had read the reviews here on Trip Advisor before I booked it last November!... More

My first room had bugs and very noisy. The owner/staff was quite unfriendly and not at all helpful. I found the rooms (the one with out the bugs) small and the bath too small to turn around in and I am a little person. I felt unwelcome in the common area when the owner and his wife were there using... More
