We stayed here for our wedding anniversary, and weren't disappointed. We weren't expecting the Ritz-Carlton, and it wasn't, but it does have an unrivalled location. Our room had, as promised, a stunning view over the Trevi fountain, which gave a very romantic flavour to the whole trip. The room was clean and pleasant, and not as small as some city... More

I love Rome, I love everything about Rome, and the location of this hotel is absolutely stunning. The room is more than adequate (although I would avoid booking the breakfast in advance - I'm a fan of the usual cured meats, breads etc. that are usually on offer for breakfast in Italy but I found the meat incredibly fatty and... This hotel is not flashy or the best for facilities or space. But if you can get a room over looking the trevi fountain like we did, the view is amazing and the atmosphere very unique. It's a one off and a few nights only is required. Very central location with good places to eat nearby and great photo opportunities.... More

We have just returned from Rome at the end of February having spent four beautiful days at the Fontana Trevi. The hotel was a Monastery so expect old world charm and beams. Our room was a superior double which was at the back and overlooked roof tops. At first we thought we would have liked a Fountain view but soon realised that... More

We booked one night at the Fontana on October 19th before embarking on a mediterreanean cruise with Celebrity Equinox. Yes, this is an expensive property ( very unique with only 24 rooms ). We were given a room facing the Trevi fountain, what a wonderful experience, watching the crowds mill around the fountain area. It was a beautiful day as... More

This hotel is situated in the most perfect position overlooking Trevi fountain. It’s easy walking distance to all the monuments and Vatican City. The view of the fountain from the breakfast room is excellent. We were given a room at the back which should have been quiet but the lift is so old and noisy it was impossible to sleep.... More

Small rooms for the price but great location. Located in front of the famous Trevi fountain, a short walk to nearly evrything important; the colosseum, the roman forum, the constantine arch, piazza nevada and the famous streets for shopping, there is also a bus stop with buses going to Vatican City for 1 euro More

This hotel is the simplest, least fancy hotel I've ever stayed in that warrants an excellent review. The hotel is an old monastery that overlooks the Trevi Fountain. The opportunity to sleep, wake up and eat breakfast overlooking the fountain is the attraction. The rooms are more than basic - they are monastic, of course. But pretty in their simplicity.... More

Walking distance to the main tourist attractions. Our room was very small, bathroom was tiny and after the shower there was water all over the bathroom floor. Breakfast service is very rude. Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Never again. More
