4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2012 NEW

I stayed at this hotel in Feb 2011 and again in Feb 2012 and love it. I wanted to add that my second stay was even better. Construction had been completed on the lovely entrance to stairs/elevator. Front desk staff superb! Breakfast still very good with an even wider selection! The WiiFii is not available in every room, but is... More

Great location, its just 3 blocks from the main "termini" train station. Poor service, bad attitude and old building. Tiny bathrooms and windows facing bricks. Teeny tiny bathrooms and 13 inch tv. All hotels in downtown are old so if you want a newer hotel its gonna have to be one close to the airport. And they also have a... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights (including the weekend). The room we had was small. We only had our cabin bags and if we had checked a suitcase, we would have probably had to put it on the bed to open it. The bathroom too was small and was packed with the WC, Bidet, Basin and shower. The... More

We arrived by train, so the location was great...also close to some of the sights. The first room we had (502) was terrible. We are not large people, but had trouble with the small space and miniature bathroom. (The room was also quite ugly.) We then moved to a different room (506) for our next two nights, which was larger... More

Just returned from a week in Rome staying at the Contilia. Friendly helpful staff with good level of English. Room fine although a little warm, even in April, the only issue being the inability to regulate the shower temperature. Food typically continental but always fresh and plenty of it. Great locality as next to termini so no taxi required. Also... More

The Hotel is 4 blocks away from Termini train station. That sounds good to avoid cab fare to the hotel, but the shady characters hanging around at every hour are not worth your worries. Furthermore, the subway station in Termini is practically 3 blocks below surface and through an underground path, so you end up walking a lot before you... More

We went to Rome in our honeymoon. We went traveling around the country, and went back to Rome. Our previous hotel in Rome, the Fellini Inn, was full when we were to return. So, reading reviews, we booked on this hotel. What a mistake!!! The location is terrible. Dangerous and without a single typical restaurant or shop. It´s like you... More

Just returned from a short trip to Rome and we are glad that we had only stayed for 3 nights. The photos on the website certainly did not match with the kind of room we were given. The room was extremely small, and there was no room to place the luggage on the floor – we had to place them... More

Chose the Contilia for a one night stay, only because it was close to Rome Termini where we arrived early evening and departed from early next morning. And yes it was perfect for that. The Contilia was a very stylish, impressive hotel and gave us the impression of being a very new fitout to hotel of an older apartment building.... More

Our first night was in a quaint room. Didn't expect American standards to be met, but it was clean. Second nite was in the "apartment" as they had no hotel room for us. (Our reservation got cancelled without our knowledge.) Only thing apartment has going for it is size. It was horrible-exposed wires seemed hazardous if children were present, tub... More
