Good location and closed to terminal. The croissant at breakfast is amazing! There are different types of restaurants nearby, pizza, café, pasta, even a Chinese restaurant (we tried that and it is very Chinese from the place to the food!). Everything else is so so. The bathroom is big enough but the shower is small and the water drains too... More

As per the title, I highly recommend this hotel as your first choice. Very easy to get to from Termink and close to the metro. Great food choices nearby whether you like true Italian cuisine or cheaper food (kabab) this is the spot. This area is safe, from my many experiences in this area of Rome. Enjoy your travels in... Here's my 100% honest and unbiased opinion: Rome hotels are all expensive to begin with so we knew we weren't getting the Ritz right from the start. I've read some negative reviews about the service but ours was ok. The room however was something different. The WiFi was completely ineffective, the bed was very uncomfortable, the AC stopped working randomly,... More

We turned up late in the evening and this place was easy to find. Rooms are very suitable with A/C - very important in Rome in the summer. Close to Termini station, but about 20 mins walk from the main sights in town. But if you want yuou can take the metro from Termini.... Breakfast was good - plenty of... More

After spending 7 days of a Med cruise, we came to the Hotel Contilia very tired. We were early arriving and were informed our room we had booked was not available but if we wanted to stay in an apartment they could do that for us at same cost. My husband and I took a look, the elavator was very... More

The food here was quite decent and will last you until lunch. The hotel had an excellent location, near to the Roma Termini station which was great. The rooms were very clean and neatly organised. The receptionists were lovely and friendly. Only the hotel lift was quite small, but this wasn't huge issue. The major problem we encountered was when... More

I was very skeptical after reading some of the reviews about the hotel before we left. However we felt the hotel was great value (let's face it, it's not the most expensive hotel and it is in Rome, so why are people expecting five star luxury!) We were greeted with very helpful reception staff, who were happy to help throughout... More

I booked this hotel after reading all the reviews on tripadvisor.com (thank you all very much) and all the reviews are true including the "grumpy" older man at reception. I smiled to myself when I saw him and had a pleasant experience with him because of you all warning me ahead of time. I think it is because the other... More

we stayed there from the 18th to the 20th. The hotel was better than what all the reports we had read, pictures we had seen, etc. A beautiful property with gorgeous polished marble floors. When you are outside you can not imagine what the hotel looks like in the inside. So clean, so bright, the rooms very elegant, the bathrooms... More

Don't stay here. You might be tempted because of the great price.... BUT : 1)the bed was so hard i woke up in pain every morning, and that's if i even could fall asleep at night 2)it is dirty. The sheets were gross, the bathroom so tiny and gross. ew. 3)If you pick it for the 'included breakfast' you are... More
