This was our second visit because we really like the location in a quiet neighborhood, yet short walk to some major ancient Roman sites (colosseum, forum) as well as even better ‘minor’ sites: Church of San Clemente, Baths of Caracalla). Easy 30 min walk to the river via Circus Maximus too. For a city hotel the rooms are spacious (we... More

Due to my travel agent's recommendation and reading such positive reviews, I thought Capo d'africa would be amazing. I was very wrong. My husband and I stayed in venice and Florence (at beautiful luxury hotels) we made our way to Rome. First of all, location is terrible. Yes, it's close to the Colliseum but honestly, who cares? I would have... More

This is a lovely, modern hotel in a quiet location. We booked a deluxe room and I was disappointed by the size of the room we were initially given. However we were offered another room the next day which was much brighter and more spacious. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast was good and served up to 11am!... More

We stayed for three nights at the Capo D'Africa for our honeymoon in May. We LOVED the location. Walking distance to the Colosseum and Ancient Ruins as well as the metro. Great location for a first visit to Rome to really see the major attractions. The room was very nice, pretty clean and modern. Breakfast was amazing with so many... More

Massimo is caring charming and always has his guests needs in mind at Capo D Africa. We have booked a superior room and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bedroom. The room is also modern, smoke-free and non-stuffy. My husband has requested a quiet room because I am a light sleeper and we had a room on the third floor which was super quiet. I vaguely worked out that our room is below... More

I want to echo what MarikB wrote about this hotel turning off the AC at around 7PM. It led to some very hot and restless nights for us, even with the window open. Happily the hotel is on a relatively quiet street, but garbage trucks do come by early and scooters scoot 24/7. The desk staff, who were really nice... More

Lovely hotel, within easy walking distance of the colluseum and forum. Breakfast was served on the top floor where you could sit outside on the terrace. Everything was of a standard expected of a 4star hotel but the staff made it exceptional. They were so friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble for them, it really made our stay... Great hotel, close to the Colloseum and ancient Rome so you can pretty much walk anywhere. The roof top restaurant offered a great breakfast and the waiting staff although very busy were always polite and helpful

The double bed is large and reasonably comfortable. The room size is good but it is dark due to a lack of natural lighting. The breakfast was ok but nothing special, although the coffee is always just about warm. If you decide to have your breakfast outdoor, pigeons can be a problem. The Wifi connection wasn't the easiest and reliable... More
