We felt we stumbled onto a real find. Excellent location, yet private, simple and incredibly inexpensive. You enter through a huge wooden door(no hotel name, only the address), cross a courtyard parking area, go up a mysterious elevator in the far corner, and find among the residents--a hotel. We loved it. We came a day early to go to scheduled hotel and were directed to Hotel Brotsky. We were given the dorm on the top floor, many beds - no one else there - this was July. We stood up on a chair and looked out a ceiling window and saw before us the entire rooftops of Rome... More
