This is the second time in the past three summers that I've stayed at Hotel San Pietrino and I'm even more convinced that it's a great location. The rooms are small (think Manhattan) but they are meticulously clean. The hotel is just 3 blocks from the Ottaviano metro station and less than a mile to The Vatican. With a metro ticket,... More

We arrived at Roma in late night and It really took a long way to this hotel which is located in Vatican where you only take metro or taxi to get.To summrize, the room is nice and the facility is basic.Nice bathroom only with shower but a little small. The staff is not at your serve all the time, while, you could get what... Close to subway, pizza, supermarket, gelato, with great breakfast place across the street. They made arrangements for a taxi to take us to airport. We stayed 4 nights and visited the entire city. This hotel worked out fine for us. Some rooms have private baths and some have shared baths. We had private baths, which were very clean and comfortable. More

Great clean comfortable accommodations. Good value, free wifi, good location (a few blocks away from the metro station and from the Vatican). There is a supermarket half a block away and a great little gelato place down the street. Our room had a sink, closet, decent bed and a view of the street. The shared bathroom is clean. There is... This hotel is great value for Rome. It is walking distance to the Vatican and close to a metro stop (so you can get to the colosseum etc). It's also right next to a pizza takeaway place, a small supermarket and an ATM in a secure neighbourhood. They will send a taxi to pick you up from the airport for... More

I decided to end my backpacking trip by splurging on a hotel in Rome for my last few days. It turned out to be not much of a splurge as (in September at least) this place cost only 10 euro more a night for a double with ensuite than my bunk at a higher end hostel. One of the reviews... More

Our family of 4 liked the hotel and room - very secure, good cappunico machine saves time from going outside for this, near train station Octavviano and Bus Stop and 5 min walk from vatican. Helpful staff for directions - we enjoyed taking public transportation - the adventure. The rooms were kept clean . When you look out of the... More

Things to know so you go in eyes wide open: None of the cab drivers knew this hotel. It is located on the 3rd floor of an apartment building with an antique, small caged elevator with unwieldy doors. I'm not sure you can walk down the hall with your arms outstretched. Some rooms use the toilet in the hall. They... More

Everyone at the the hotel was very nice, and the hotel was situated in a very good location (a ten-minute walk to the Vatican, and a 5ish minute walk to the nearest metro station). It really doesn't look like all that much from the outside, and the small elevator makes it difficult to bring large quantities of luggage to the... More

For $150, book another facility. This hotel is ridiculously small. I am a very small woman, and I couldn't even fit comfortably in the shower. There was six inches from the toilet to the shower. The bed felt like sleeping on wood and the pillows were the worst ever. I had to fold up my bathrobe to use as a... More
