Cosy atmosphère, friendly staff, smartly decorated villa, freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolat, fruits, yoghurt ,try the chocolate-chestnuts jam! It is situated at a quiet region close to the gardens of Villa Borgese 10 min walk from Piazza de Popolo! Exercise your Italians , you ' ll be needed with the staff, its funny thing to speak in RomanoEnglish!

With 12 rooms in total, Villa Mangili is a small but excellent hotel. We (2 adults + 1 child) stayed 4 nights and we really enjoyed the calm and nice ambience after an exhausting day around Rome. And we had the luck to get the only room (triple room) with direct access to a private garden. The room was clean,... More

Located just to the north of Borghese Gardens, its about a 20 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, or there's a tram stop and taxi rank nearby. The hotel is in a quiet leafy street and nice to retreat to after a busy day sightseeing. The rooms are relatively basic but the decor is impressive. The staff are almost all... More

We stayed here for 3 nights after travelling around tuscany for 2 weeks. The hotel is beautiful and rooms were a good size compared to most we've stayed in in big cities. Breakfast was lovely-lots of fresh fruit, the only criticism would be that you have to pay extra for juice, if not you just get water or coffee. There... More

I booked the Villa Mangili for its location in relation to the Parco Della Musica (15mins walk), good reviews and fair price. I pretty much loved everything about the hotel, the size of the room (palacial compared to my poor colleagues' rooms who were staying in town), the breakfast, the building and garden, the security, the breakfast and the friendliness... We spent one night at Villa Mangili before moving to a villa that we had rented for the week. The staff was very helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was quiet and peaceful which we appreciated after a long flight. There are good restaurants in the area and it is easy to get to the center... More

Since their opening, we only stay at Villa Mangili when beeing in Rome (one - two times per year since 2002). Either the location (quiet, which is indeed an issue in Rome), the garden, the interior design and of course the entire staff make each stay a fabulous one. The concept is that they offer a home away from home... More

Excellent small boutique hotel and we would not hesitate in recommending it to others. Situated near to the the Borghese Gardens which was ideally situated for access into the centre of the city. The hotel offered both peace and quiet after an exhausting trekk around the many amazing treasures of Rome. The staff, especially Massimo, we found to be genuinely... More

Date May 21 2007 Reviewer Tripadvisor member Scotland We have just spent four nights in Rome staying at the lovely Villa Mangili. Although it is not right in the centre, it was a pleasant walk across the Villa Borghese park or a short bus ride into the Centro Storico. It was lovely to wake up every morning to the sound... More

We loved Villa Mangili!! The hotel is a delight in all respects - located in a lovely tree lined street next to wonderful homes, 2 mins walking distance to the beautiful parklands of Villa Borghese, and EUR5.00 taxi ride to pretty much everywhere (well, almost...) - but the real treat was the friendliness of the hotel staff who were amazing,...
