Hotel is old and a little on the down side. Room was large and convenient to the Roma Termini train station. But it was located at a corner where all the traffic must turn, and as a result there was a lot of road noise at all hours. Easy walk to the Metro. Neighborhood looks dicey at night but it's... More

Elyse 2.5 stars would have been about right, had it been available. It is a 10-15 min walk from Termini, far enough with luggage, and first impressions are not good, very scruffy outside. However, once through the doors it is clean enough inside, though the photos are very flattering and taken quite some time ago. The staff have limited English,... More

Great location, located right next to Roma Termini however the close proximity of so many trains and trams will provide an alarm clock that you can hear and feel starting at 5 in the morning. Rooms small, old and barely adequate, however if arriving on a late train and looking for a simple, cheap place to rest for the night... More

Cons - Rooms is shabby looking, the carpet in the reception is stained and dirty looking. Not a safe area to stay particularily for a single traveller. I felt very uncomfortable walking in the area especially after dark. I am not a picky traveller but I will not stay here again. Pros - Very close to Termini station, hence convinient... More

The hotel is about ten minute walk from the Termini station in Rome, direct trains run every half hour from the City airport. The area around the hotel is a bit slumby looking, a lot of small creepy shops and homeless, but the hotel is a little diamond in the rough! The hotel itself is fairly classically decorated, with a... More

I visited this hotel with my teenage daughter for a get-a- way break to see the historic sites of Rome. The staff were friendly and approachable. Breakfast was a bit meagre, coffee and two rolls, which was fine for us. Our room was quiet as it was at the back of the hotel. The room was large and clean, but... More

Elyse is an ok hotel for a budget travelling especially when you want your stay to be efficient. Plusses: -I found my room clean and bed comfortable -minibar is great to store the souvenir-Parmesan, etc. -the employees had colourful personalities and they were polite -the hotel is small which makes it comfy -security: the entrance was locked at all times... This hotel is very convenient to the train station and a 15-20 minute walk to the main attractions in Rome. The location, however, did not make my husband I very comfortable. The room was large compared to the hotel rooms in Italy, but it seemed dirty. The carpet was stained and I felt like I had to wear shoes the... More

I only had a few requirements for the hotel we stayed at in Rome, it had to be within walking distance of the train station and under $100. This hotel was not any where in my top 5 choices but everything else was booked. We had several complaints with the first being how loud the traffic was. The hotel is... More

I was looking for a good budget hotel for my honeymoon and I chose this hotel based on reviews I read in venere. It did not disappoint me at all. The location is really close to Termini station. The hotel is within walking distance of the Colosseum and for those like me and my wife who like to walk a... More
