We stayed here at a really good price (around £50 a night) for 2 nights, and its a perfectly good base to explore Rome from. Basic, with an amazing shower, clean and our room was a good size too. As others have stated, breakfast is limited but ultimately its as good as required to set you up for the day.... More

We stayed at Hotel Galatea for 4 days at the start of December 2011. We are a young couple (aged 22 and 23). We looked at many hotels online before finally booking this one and it was done purely for the price. We paid £200 for two people for 4 nights B&B which is exceptionally good for the location of... What an absolute rip-off. I booked this hotel online and they have been deducting money from my account without notice. I have tried in vain to contact them to rectify the problem but the proprietor "Antonio" does not respond to emails regarding CREDIT CARD FRAUD!! There are so many other hotels in Rome, I'm kicking myself for choosing this one. More

Only 10 minute walk from Termini bus station, the hotel is nicely situated for easy access to all significant tourist attractions such as the Coliseum, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Vatican & the Pantheon. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was limited with a choice of two cereals or croissant, orange juice... More

Very well placed hotel for many of the sights of Rome, breakfast basic pastries and cereals but at least we didn't have to venture out each day to find breakfast. Within easy walking distance of Trevi Fountain, Termini Station, Coliseum. would recommend this hotel as a budget, basic base for anyone visiting Rome, Rooms basic but they have what you... More

Been there for 3 nights in June 2011, around 120-130 Euro per night. The service was very good, nice personnel, one of the reception clerk in the night shifts was very helpful and gave us good tips. Nice breakfast, quiet atmosphere, and for the prices of hotels in Rome, I think it was a good deal. Especially in that messy... More

We recently stayed for 4 nights at Hotel Galatea. We found the location great, central to many attractions, only a 10 minute walk to the Colluseum. The rooms are clean and comfortable and surprisingly large for a Rome hotel our previous experience has been alot smaller. The room was on the inner courtyard, it was very quiet considering where the... More

This hotel was a great find and value for money. The location is perfect for a tourist, walking distance to all the main sights. Rooms are nice and clean. The atmosphere is cosy. Breakfast is not great, but it's free. The only thing I didn't appreciate were the complete rip-off tours to the Vatican that they tried to sell us... More

The hotel is located on the third floor of a typical Italian building, with a doorway leading into a courtyard and winding staircase around a lift. The location is ideal, near to Nationale, which is one of the main shopping areas. There are many local, reasonable restaurants nearby. The hotel is located between the Colluseum and Trevi fountain, each of... More
