Tucked away down a back alley, this looks dubious, but it is a bit of real Italy. Ignore the pink decoration, fairy lights and mirrors and you have a quiet base for a stay in Bologna with great service, very clean (as far as old building allows) good breakfast (lots of pastries!) and lovely and quiet.

Small hotel in a great location. Friendly service. Only issue could be the steps for some travelers. My room was up 3 flights. Other than that a good choice. Make sure to try the gelato down the street at Gianni's.
