Great location in the old town with restaurants, bars etc all right at the door. Fantastic terrace for a drink or three in the evening and very friendly and down to earth hosts. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice, simple breakfast was provided downstairs.

The terrace looked just like the picture except we are up there drinking a glass of wine and munching. The location is perfect, in the old section but clean and relatively quiet. Was a short walk from the train station. The room was lovely and decorated with taste, even the bath stuff was lux. The bed was comfortable and after... More

From the moment we arrived Jon and Raffaella made us feel welcome in their beautiful bed and breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble, Jon gave us tips for hiking and places to eat. The room was great and spotlessly clean. What a bonus to be in the heart of the old town and a pleasure to return after dinner and... More

When we finally arrived at L'Antica Terrazza after a long day of train travelling across Italy, we were really able to let our shoulders down and start the best part of our holiday in Italy. The 10 minute walk from the train station was a breeze, and quite refreshing after having sat down for so many hours. Jon and Raffaella... More

This gem is a true pittoresque boutiqe hostel. We stayed for 5 nights and it was a true pleasure. We talked to the other people from the US and NZ who stayed at this place and they were also surprised by the service and genuine feeling. Ok, the breakfast is not a buffé but fresh foccacia, yoghurt, marmelade, coffe, tea... More

We loved it here! We hardly left the terrace/balcony area, as it was right in the heart of town with lots of action. All the nearby restaurants were really good.. from the homemade pizzas to seafood risotto. As everyone is saying, Jon and Raffaella are one.. cool.. couple! They went so far as to bring us yummy apps and a... More

What a great find! Raffaella and Jon are the perfect hosts. The rooms are extremely clean and convenient to the train station. The balcony is lovely and a great place to unwind while sipping a glass of vino. Breakfast was excellent. The hosts will do anything they can to provide you with current information and make your stay one that... More

I can't thank John and his lovely wife Rafaella enough for making our stay the best in Monterosso while we hiked the 5 cities. This B & B is so close to the train station situated in the quainter old town of Monterosso. The new town has no soul whatsoever and we only went there to use the laundromat. The... More

I have to fist thank Jon and Rafaella. They made our stay in Monterosso a really great experience. I arrived very early in the morning & they were so flexible in accommodating me. Rafaella met me early so I could drop my luggage and head off on a planned hike. Their baby is so adorable and so good! Our room... More

I spent one night here after hiking from Riomaggiore and it was perfect for me--a private room (small, but that was ok) and private bath with a great hot shower. The large shared balcony was fun to watch people go by or just relax with wine. Raffaella and John are gracious and very helpful hosts, and John made the best... More
