We were given a family room of four beds in a room that had wooden floors and a huge bathroom. The hotel is old in a good way and the room had all the ambience of a turn of the century accommodation.
Airconditioner did not function properly but then it was 15-18 degrees celsius while we were there which is...

The breakfast buffet is ample and the room quite pretty. There are cozy sitting areas on many of the floors. The little restaurant bar is very homey...

I have now stayed here twice on different trips to Genoa.
You really can't beat the location smack-bang in the centre of the cultural district in Genoa, a two minute stroll to the Genoa Opera, Palace Ducale and shopping area (Louis Vuiton, Prada, Loro Piana etc).
Ask for a double room with a bath to get a larger room.
