Bergamo is beautiful and our stay at the Hotel Commercio was one we will definitely repeat. The hotel entrance is a plain unassuming set of modern doors off a shopping street. They hide a secret! The Commercio appears to be stuck in a bit of a 1950s time warp. I guess it must have started life as a business hotel maybe in the inter-war years. The owners must be thanking their lucky stars that the Orio al Serio Airport is booming and there is a shortage of budget-priced accommodation in Bergamo. Elsewhere on the web... More
