We treated ourselves to a canal side room with balcony ( mini-suite). I enjoyed watching and listening to the gondolas floating past day and evening - to thae extant that we recognied the gondoliers - not hard when some sing the same songs! Expensive but worth it - and lots of fruit salad for breakfast More

this a a really nice hotel. it is situated on a small canal a few minutes away from Piazza San Marco. it is a tastefully renovated old building so in the ceilings in the rooms are old paintings and it gives "grandeur" to your room. the bathroom was very elegant with mosaics everywhere and a double walk in shower. a... We have been staying at The Principi for the last 12 visits in Venice, and would not consider anywhere else. Take a water taxi from the airport which takes you across the lagoon, then you travel down a small canal, which then enters the Grande Canal at the side of the Casino. Turning right, we are always in awe of... More

This is a great place to stay in Venice, near San Marco, but far enough away to be quiet and not too touristy (there is a school next door!).. Our room was large and spotless and had a great view over the canal out the front. It was the canal view suite which was perfect for our family of 4... More

The hotel was in a fantastic location - very easy to get to all the major attractions. Nice atmosphere and nice, helpful staff. Our room was spacious and nicely designed. One suggestion for travelers who like to sleep in...request a room on the opposite side from the elementary school next door. Although the windows do a good job of keeping... More

First-rate location, a 5-minute walk from St. Mark's square and close to lovely restaurants. We stayed in a standard double, which was modern, stylish and cosy. The breakfast was typical continental, but very good. The vaparetto and airport ferry stops were a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Overall our stay was brilliant, the only negative comment I do have... Great location in central Venice, well-appointed hotel with lovely design and luxury rooms. Breakfast OK but a bit repetitive. Stayed during the Easter hols weekend, so was paying $500 per night, a lot of money, so....... Disappointed with the poor attention to detail and service. The staff were surly and unhelpful; they seemed unaware of my daughter's dietary needs, despite... More

Very close to San Marco square and cathedral (approx. 200m.), this hotel shows acceptable prices and absolutely clean and confortable rooms. Main Venice sites are at walking distance and any other can be reached by public transportations. No internal restaurant but a lot of choices in two hundred meter radius. More

Lovely hotel with a boutique feel to it. We stayed in the "Exclusive Canal View" room which was fantastic (probably the biggest hotel room I've ever stayed in) which, surprisingly looked exactly like it does on the hotel website. Everything was clean and modern, staff were friendly and happy to offer suggestions of where to eat and the location was... More

Everything about this hotel was perfect (except the rain head shower made the bathroom floor wet) The room was large, the beds comfortable, the bathroom fabulously done. It was exquisitely clean and the staff was always helpful and friendly. It is close to St Marks square and certainly in the upscale section of Venice. The charge for the wi-fi was... More
