Stayed her for three nights in a triple room. Got a great deal on price and got an upgrade from classic to superior when we arrived. The room was lovely, with traditional Venetian features, lovely chandelier, and mirror, and a great view over the canal. The hotel has its own landing stage, and is really near st Marks, just off... I booked for 3 nights at Hotel Marconi before problems as outlined on Trip advisor, then read reviews and began to worry. Sure enough turned up having carried cases over Rialto bridge - no mean feat but we were prepared- only to be given the usual bluff "owing to problems beyond our control ...... plumbing.... moved to another of our... Having travelled to many cities around the world, for us this hotel was a good little base from which to explore the delights of Venice without that dreadful corporate feel you get in some hotel chains. Our room (4) was a decent double but had an extra bed in for our son. Despite this we managed fine. The room and... More

We had booked 4 nights in Lido at the Boulevard hotel, where after the second night we were kindly asked if we would mind relocating to this hotel. We were a bit reluctant but were assured that we would get a lovely room and paid internet access as well as being in the hub of the activity close to San... More

My fiance booked a surprise trip to Verona and Venice to propose to me. He'd been planning it for ages and wanted everything to be perfect. Verona, thankfully, was perfect, but the San Moise hotel in Venice was awful and he was devastated. He'd booked a superior room and we were really looking forward to relaxing on our first night... Like some of the other reviewers we arrived to be told we were to be taken to another palace a few minutes away. Same hotel just a short walk away. It turned out to be a completely different hotel Ateneo. Not the one we had booked and paid for two months before. Felt completely cheated and will never trust this... More

The guy at reception is very rude,he was on the phone having what sounded like a personal call, after our long trip to get to Venice all we wanted to do was get to our room & settle in. He had us standing there for 20minutes & didn't have the manners to apologize for keeping us waiting. All seemed strange that he... More

I really don't know what good there is to say about the hotel- it is not where it is advertised- some rooms are around the block, but it is within easy walking distance of St Mark's Square, very dirty, grotesquely over priced, terrible food, rude defensive staff- I could go on, but if you are travelling with children- avoid at... We had a crappy small room. The tub didn't drain well when taking a shower and didn't appear to be super clean. We were also awoken by loud construction right outside our window. It wasn't nice to be put in a street front room when there was construction going on :( not happy. Breakfast was fine and the location was... More

I had traveled to Venice before and this hotel went way above my expectations! If you're looking for a charming, one of a kind, antique, clean hotel room right on the canal with a great location to make the most out of sightseeing around Venice, then I would highly recommend this hotel! If you're not familiar with the area of... More
