The hotel was basic. room was fairly clean, but the both the sink and the shower in the washroom were clogged up and wouldnt drain properly. Our third visit to the Cristallo - extremely good value with polite, helpful staff. Not luxurious but rooms are spotlessly clean and well-equipped. We really liked this hotel; it's a great choice for visiting Venice. The water taxi stop is a 5-minute walk, so you can be on St. Mark's Square in less than 20 minutes. One night stay, but made very confortable. Arrived at 11am to a friendly welcome, non of the "your rooms not ready til 2pm". Case taken to room with a smile. We loved this hotel. The location was in the heart of Lido and we walked to everything. The owner was very kind and helpful. Lido was a great spot away from the touristy Venice area. 10 minute boat ride to St Mark's square was easy and scenic. The breakfast was delicious! More
