The hotel was amazing, set in its own island with a free connecting boat service to the island from St Mark's Square. The facilities were great (gym, pool, restaurants, breakfasting area, boat connection); the staff were excellent (attentive, polite, supportive of various languages); rooms were lovely (comfortable 6ft beds, wonderful bathrooms, blackout curtains).

Our family has stayed at San Clemente Palace several times. The staff lovely-professional yet friendly. The grounds and buildings are beautifully maintained. Make sure to explore the grounds and chapel. The pool is a welcome respite from the summer afternoon heat and crowds of Venice. Arrived via shuttle... Girlfriend more than excited! Simply breathtaking when you walk off boat.
