When was the last time you saw online photos of hotel and the hotel was far better than the photos. This palace is. The owner has restored it to it's former grandeur and it is simply incredible. The owner also makes you feel like royalty. He is warm friendly and makes sure that all your needs are exceeded. Our suite... More

We are a family of three who stayed here with Giovanni Ferrara and his family last April. Giovanni is a lawyer and has a 1500m2 palace with several appartments attached to it which he rents out. At first it may seem difficult to find as it's through a huge gate (large entrance door) and then up a few flights of... More

My husband and I are young travellers who love to see the world and experience different cultures. I can never understand people who travel to different countries and stay at the Hilton etc and get the exact same experience they could have in their own country. Palazzo Montevago is simply a little piece of heaven. It has been restored with... More

You really appreciate a quiet retreat in Palermo and you find it at Palazzo Montevago. Behind thick and huge wooden gates and up a broad staircase you enter a splendid Palazzo whose decor spans two, maybe three, centuries. Our apartment was one wing of this marvel. We had two stories; the lower floor had a study, the upper floor had... More

My family stayed at the Palazzo Montevago in their suite on a recent trip to Palermo. Our vacation in Palermo was cut short due to a family crisis, but I wanted to pass on a review of the B&B out of respect of the owners who were very kind in allowing us to cut our stay short without penalty. We... More

Tripadvisor was our friend - while planning our two-week holiday in Sicily, we came across Palazzo Montevago and were not disappointed. The Ferraras (father and son) are perfect hosts and made us feel most welcome. Plenty of helpful restaurant recommendations and a route to the airport which saved our rental car a dent or two. We opted for the Montevago... More

After countless trips to mainland Itlay, this was our first trip both to Sicily and Palermo. Together with Catania, Palermo is said to be vying for the dubious title of 'Crime capital of Sicily'. We 'daringly' visited both and are happy to say that we have survived both cities, though sincerely, there are truly some 'rough' areas in both cities... More

My husband and I stayed for two nights in this most beautiful B&B we have ever seen. Recently restored to feature very comfortable large rooms, great bed, modern bathroom and a wonderful host in Giovanni. It is like being a guest in a royal palace. The common rooms feature wonderful antiques and frescoes and original art to delight the senses.... More

We stayed for two nights in Nov. and loved the family friendlyness of the owner. He knows Sicilian history and will share his knowledge eagerly. The Montevago suite is one of the best values I ever had in my 50 years of extensive travel. Talk about square feet per dollar. Stay here! Eat at the Casa Dei Brodo down the... More

We are a family with two kids one and three years old. After one week in the neighboring city of Cefalu we spent 10 days at the Palazzo Montevago in Palermo. The word Palazzo has been used or misused in a lot of circumstances, but here this resounding word really fulfills the expectations it creates. After a hell-rally with two... More
