Centrally located on walking distance to all major city sights (although the area is not really attractive). Impressive atrium. Nice room, not very large but with contemporary comfort and amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. Initially the room airco was not working, but one call to the reception solved the problem. Excellent breakfast (certainly compared to the regional standards). Good, but... More

This hotel is a haven, and well worth the money - for my family and me, it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime stay to be welcomed into such a beautiful building. For the sleep quality alone, it is priceless: the beds are ultra comfortable, and most probably uniquely in Palermo city, the hotel overlooks no busy roads, as it nestles in... More

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. Great location for walking to the historial area of Palermo. The room was excellent, and we enjoyed the open air lobby with the retractable roof for enjoying drinks after a day of touring. The staff was polite, and very friendly, and service was quick. Our breakfast was delicious and dinner excellent. Great place to stay... More

We stayed here in January, when most hotels were closed. The buffet breakfast each morning, included, was EXCELLENT. Really amazing. The room we had, was really 2 rooms. A sitting room and a bedroom, with a 3 area bath area. Very clean, easy access to the city...well you are right there afterall. Palermo is rough around the edges...but so interesting.... More

This hotel's location is perfect to visit the historical area of Palermo: close to the central via Vittorio Emanuele, via Roma, via Maqueda, and a few minutes from the seafront, the city's main attractions, the Opera house and other venues. The hotel entrance is on a small lane which may look seedy at first sight but is not; police cars... More

I thought it hotel was unique..with its open air lobby and interesting rooms. It seemed in a gritty location but was actually very convenient to many Palermo sights..and good restaurants. Actually one of the nicer areas of Palermo.

Palermo is a tough city. Not for sissies, and by "sissies" I mean anyone who doesn't really want to be there. Reminds me a little of NYC in the old days (1970's "Taking of Pelham 123" etc) All the big hotels in downtown Palermo have very mixed reviews. Borsa has a pretty good location if you are interested in walking... More

Having been upgraded to a suite (room 420) it would be churlish to write a poor review of this hotel but nevertheless I feel compelled to. Though the hotel has an interesting history as having been a monastery, a Mafia bank and being expanded to include a neighbouring Palazzo before being turned into a hotel, none of this is reflected... I didn't really like Palermo. This hotel is reasonably well fitted out. Only Internet in the cold lobby, need to get a new password every 24 hours. Dining room mediocre. Staff pleasant. Rooms okay, modern. No guide to anything about the hotel in the rooms. Did it have a pool? Gym? I have no idea. Fairly minimalist, no tea or... More

We did not stay the night at the hotel this time - but had a wonderful lunch that was first class in every sense. The lovely wood paneling in the restaurant was an indication of the quality to come. Very talented staff set a very high standard for service. The food was excellent - from start to finish. Amazing flambe.... More
