We've stayed at the Conchiglia D'Ora on a few occasions. It's a nice, 1950s looking hotel with a swimming pool and very close to the beach and Lido. It's not the most modern of places, but then again, if you want "modern", Palermo may not be the right place for you.

The Conchiglia d'oro was in quiet, relaxed neighborhood with readily available parking. Efficient, friendly staff with immaculate rooms. Loved the pool and walking about a block to great neighborhood stores.
